One of these houses is called diurnal, noted in the second column by the letter D; the other is nocturnal, noted by the letter N. The planets have their EXALTATIONS, as the third column points out: thus \u2609 in 19 \u2648; \u263d in 3 \u2649; \u260a in 3 degrees \u264a, &c. are exalted. These twelve signs are divided into FOUR TRIPLICITIES. The fourth column tells you which planet or planets, both night and day, governs each triplicity; as over against \u264b, \u264f, \u2653, you find \u2642, who governs by day and night in that triplicity; and over against \u2648, \u264c, \u2650, you find \u2609 and \u2643, viz. that \u2609 has domination by day, and \u2643 by night, in that triplicity: the first six degrees of \u2648 are the TERMS of \u2643, from six to fourteen, the TERMS of \u2640, &c. &c. Over against \u2648, in the tenth, eleventh, and twelfth columns, you find \u2642 10, \u2609 20, \u2640 30; viz. the first ten degrees of \u2648 are the FACE of \u2642; from ten to twenty, the FACE of \u2609; from twenty to thirty, the FACE of \u2640, &c.\nIn the thirteenth column, over against \u2648, you find \u2640 DETRIMENT, viz. \u2640 being in \u2648, is in a sign opposite to one of her own houses, and so is said to be in her DETRIMENT. In the 14th column, over against \u2648, you find \u2644, over his head FALL, that is, \u2644 when he is in \u2648 is opposite to his exaltation, and so is unfortunate, &c.
