Rev., \"which are the last.\" See on Mar 3:10; see on Luk 10:30.\nIs filled up (\u1f10\u03c4\u03b5\u03bb\u03ad\u03c3\u03b8\u03b7)\nMore correctly, brought to an end (\u03c4\u03ad\u03bb\u03bf\u03c2). Rev., finished. Lit., was finished, the prophetic aorist, which speaks of a thing foreseen and decided as if already done.\nA sea of glass (\u03b8\u03ac\u03bb\u03b1\u03c3\u03c3\u03b1\u03bd \u1f51\u03b1\u03bb\u03af\u03bd\u03b7\u03bd)\nRev., better, a glassy sea. See on Rev 4:6.\nHad gotten the victory over the beast (\u03bd\u03b9\u03ba\u1ff6\u03bd\u03c4\u03b1\u03c2 \u1f10\u03ba \u03c4\u03bf\u1fe6 \u03b8\u03b7\u03c1\u03af\u03bf\u03c5)\nThe expression is peculiar. Lit., conquered out of The construction is unique in the New Testament. The phrase signifies, not as A.V., victory over, but coming triumphant out of (\u1f10\u03ba). So Rev., that come victorious from the beast.\nOver his mark\nOmit.\nStanding on (\u1f10\u03c0\u03af)\nBetter, as Rev., by: on the shore of, as did the Israelites when they sang the song alluded to in Rev 15:3.\nThe harps of God\nOmit the. Instruments devoted wholly to His praise. Compare Rev 5:8; Rev 14:2.\nThe song of Moses\nSee Exodus 15. Compare Deuteronomy 32; to which some refer this allusion.\nThe servant of God\nSee Exo 14:31; Num 12:7; Psa 105:26; Heb 3:5.\nThe song of the Lamb\nThere are not two distinct songs. The song of Moses is the song of the Lamb. The Old and the New Testament churches are one.\nGreat and marvellous are Thy works\nPsa 111:2; Psa 139:14; Ch1 16:9.\nJust and true are Thy ways\nRev., righteous for just. See Deu 32:4.\nKing of saints (\u03b2\u03b1\u03c3\u03b9\u03bb\u03b5\u1f7a\u03c2 \u03c4\u1ff6\u03bd \u1f01\u03b3\u03af\u03c9\u03bd)\nThe readings differ. Some read for saints, \u1f10\u03b8\u03bd\u1ff6\u03bd of the nations; others \u03b1\u1f30\u03ce\u03bd\u03c9\u03bd of the ages. So Rev. Compare Jer 10:7.\nWho shall not fear Thee?\nSee Jer 10:7. Omit thee.\nHoly (\u1f45\u03c3\u03b9\u03bf\u03c2)\nSee on Luk 1:75. The term is applied to Christ in Act 2:27, Act 2:35; Heb 7:26. To God only here and Rev 16:5, where the correct reading is \u1f41 \u1f45\u03c3\u03b9\u03bf\u03c2 thou holy one, instead of \u1f41 \u1f10\u03c3\u03cc\u03bc\u03b5\u03bd\u03bf\u03c2 which shalt be.\nAll nations shall come\nCompare Psa 86:9; Isa 2:2-4; Isa 66:23; Mic 4:2.\nJudgments (\u03b4\u03b9\u03ba\u03b1\u03b9\u03ce\u03bc\u03b1\u03c4\u03b1)\nNot merely divine decisions, but righteous acts generally. So Rev. Primarily, the word signifies that which has been deemed right so as to have the force of law. Hence an ordinance (Luk 1:6; Heb 9:1; Rom 1:32). A judicial decision for or against (Rom 5:16). A righteous deed. See Rev 19:8.\nBehold\nThe temple of the tabernacle (\u1f41 \u03bd\u03b1\u1f78\u03c2 \u03c4\u1fc6\u03c2 \u03c3\u03ba\u03b7\u03bd\u1fc6\u03c2)\nThe sanctuary of the tabernacle. See on Mat 4:5.\nOf the testimony\nSee Act 7:44. The tabernacle was called \"the Tabernacle of the Testimony\" because it contained the ark with the law of God which testifies against sin. See Exo 25:16, Exo 25:21; Exo 30:36; Exo 34:29; Exo 38:21. Compare Rev 11:19.\nLinen (\u03bb\u03af\u03bd\u03bf\u03bd)\nThe Rev. follows the reading \u03bb\u03af\u03b8\u03bf\u03bd stone, after the analogy of Eze 28:13, \"Every precious stone was thy covering.\" The idea is that of raiment studded with precious stones. See on Rev 2:17.\nWhite (\u03bb\u03b1\u03c5\u03c0\u03c1\u1f78\u03bd)\nMostly applied in the New Testament to clothing, as Luk 23:11; Act 10:30; Jam 2:2. Also to the water of life (Rev 22:1), and the morning-star (Rev 22:16). Rev., bright.\nGirt round their breasts\nAs the Lord in the vision of Rev 1:13; where, however, \u03bc\u03b1\u03c3\u03c4\u03bf\u1fd6\u03c2 paps is used instead of \u03c3\u03c4\u03ae\u03b8\u03b7 breasts.\nVials (\u03c6\u03b9\u03ac\u03bb\u03b1\u03c2)\nRev., bowls.
