Comfort for the righteous.\nThe right hand of the Lord hath covered me;\n \u00a0\u00a0The right hand of the Lord hath spared us.\n The arm of the Lord hath saved us from the sword that passed through,\n \u00a0\u00a0From famine and the death of sinners.\n Noisome beasts ran upon them:\n \u00a0\u00a0With their teeth they tore their flesh,\n \u00a0\u00a0And with their molars crushed their bones.\n But from all these things the Lord delivered us. p. 115\n The righteous was troubled on account of his errors,\n \u00a0\u00a0Lest he should be taken away along with the sinners;\n For terrible is the overthrow of the sinner;\n \u00a0\u00a0But not one of all these things toucheth the righteous.\n For not alike are the chastening of the righteous for sins done in ignorance,\n \u00a0\u00a0And the overthrow of the sinners.\n Secretly is the righteous chastened,\n \u00a0\u00a0Lest the sinner rejoice over the righteous.\n For He correcteth the righteous as a beloved son.\n \u00a0\u00a0And his chastisement is as that of a first-born.\n For the Lord spareth His pious ones,\n \u00a0\u00a0And blotteth out their errors by His chastening.\n For the life of the righteous shall be for ever;\n \u00a0\u00a0But sinners shall be taken away into destruction,,\n \u00a0\u00a0And their memorial shall be found no more.\n But upon the pious is the mercy of the Lord,\n \u00a0\u00a0And upon them that fear Him His mercy.","title":"The Forgotten Books of Eden: The Psalms of Solomon: Chapter XIII","type":"page"}
