(The Music!) \n As the Moon awakens the pool, so bright. \n Why this anticipation, premonition, \n this magical feeling, this ghost haunted night? \n - \n Then, a siamese cat enters the meadow- \n silver grey, regal compusure, flowing lines. \n And somehow I know - I see intelligence \n and wit, and power, as she looks into my eyes. \n - \n How does she speak without speaking? \n But somehow, she communicates good will, and cheer. \n 'Stay quiet, childe of man.', she says. \n 'Be still - you are but a guest here.' \n \n Then a parade of feline musicians \n wandered in singing from the right. \n I shake my head *bedazzled*; Am I dreaming, or mad? \n Why me - here to witness this eldritch sight? \n \n \n \n THE MOONPOOL (cont.)\n - \n A troupe of dancing, cavorting gnomes \n made their appearence upon a rocky stage. \n And following them : silver clad, haughty elves \n accompanied by a wizened old mage. \n - \n \n Now, many strange but noble presences made manifest \n on that starlit night in June. \n And I witnessed and heard sweet music, high magic, secrets \n until dawn, with the passing of the Moon. \n - \n And the high bred Queen of Cat Folk \n smiled with warmth, and left. \n Left me shaking with these visions, \n and nodding, I finally slept. \n - \n I return often to these stately woods, seeking \n but never finding the sacred pool, so bright. \n It makes me sad - very sad to think \n that it was but a dream, a peculiar night. \n - \n But sometimes, at the edge of sleep, \n soft music slowly beckons, and calls. \n And I know with every fiber of my being \n that I will again visit these magical sylvan halls \n \n 1863","title":"Internet Book of Shadows: The Moon Pool (unknown)","type":"page"}
