Whosoever does so, shall be guilty of a dukkata.'\nNow at that time the Bhikkhus, fearing to offend if they took (things to sit upon) even into the\n[paragraph continues] Uposatha Hall, or the meeting-place, sat on the ground; and their legs and robes got soiled.\n'I allow you, O Bhikkhus, to take things away for a certain time only 1.'\nNow at that time a large Vih\u00e2ra belonging to the Samgha went to ruin 2. The Bhikkhus, fearing to offend, did not take the bedding in it away.\nThey told this matter to the Blessed One.\n'I allow you, O Bhikkhus, to take away things in order to save them from destruction.'\n216:2 Vih\u00e2ra-paribhogam.
