Griffith, [1895]\n1Borne on with thee, O Manyu girt by Maruts, let our brave men,\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0impetuous, bursting forward,\n \u00a0\u00a0March on, like flames of fire in form, exulting, with pointed\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0arrows, sharpening their weapons.\n 2Flashing like fire, be thou, O conquering Manyu, invoked, O\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0victor, as our army's leader.\n \u00a0\u00a0Slay thou our foes, distribute their possession: show forth thy\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0vigour, scatter those who hate us.\n 3O Manyu, overcome those who assail us. On! breaking, slaying,\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0crushing down the foemen.\n \u00a0\u00a0They have not hindered thine impetuous vigour: mighty! sole\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0born! reduce them to subjection.\n 4Alone of many thou art worshipped, Manyu: sharpen the spirit\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0of each clan for combat.\n \u00a0\u00a0With thee to aid, O thou of perfect splendour, we raise the\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0glorious battle-shout for conquest.\n 5Unyielding, bringing victory like Indra, O Manyu be thou here\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0our sovran ruler. p. a141\n \u00a0\u00a0To thy dear name.
