Griffith, [1895]\n1He who hath reverenced thee, Manyu, destructive bolt! breeds.\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0for himself forthwith all conquering energy.\n \u00a0\u00a0Arya and D\u0101sa will we conquer with thine aid, with thee the\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0conqueror, with conquest conquest-sped.\n 2Manyu was Indra, yea, the God was Manyu; Manyu was Hotar\n \u00a0\u00a0Varuna, J\u0101tavedas.\n \u00a0\u00a0The tribes of human lineage worship Manyu. Accordant, with\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0thy fervour, Manyu! guard us.\n 3Come hither, Manyu, mightier than the mighty: smite, with thy\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0fervour, for ally, our foemen.\n \u00a0\u00a0Slayer of foes, of Vritra, and of Dasyu, bring thou to us all kinds\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0of wealth and treasure.\n 4For thou art, Manyu, of surpassing vigour, fierce, queller of the\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0foe, and self-existent,\n \u00a0\u00a0Shared by all men, victorious, subduer: vouchsafe to us superior\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0strength in battles.\n 5I have departed still without a portion, wise God! according to\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0thy will, the mighty.\n \u00a0\u00a0I, feeble man, was wroth with thee, O Manyu.
