The Brihat,\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0the Rathantara, the \u0100dityas and all the Gods followed him.\n \u00a0\u00a0That man is alienated from the Brihat, the Rathantara, the\n \u00a0\u00a0\u0100dityas, and all Gods who reviles the Vr\u0101tya who possesses\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0this knowledge. He who hath this knowledge becomes the\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0beloved home of the Brihat, the Rathantara the \u0100dityas, and\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0all the Gods. In the eastern region Faith is his leman, the\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0hymn his panegyrist, knowledge his vesture, day his turban,\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0night his hair, Indra's two Bays his circular ornaments, the\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0splendour of the stars his jewel. Present and Future are his\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0running footmen, mind is his war-chariot, M\u0101tarisvan and\n \u00a0\u00a0Pavam\u0101na are they who draw it, Vita is his charioteer, Storm\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0his goad, Fame and Glory are his harbingers. Fame and\n \u00a0\u00a0Glory come to him who hath this knowledge.\n 2He arose and went away to the southern region. Yajn\u0101yajniya\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0and V\u0101madevya and Sacrifice and Sacrificer and sacrificial\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0victims followed him. The man who reviles the Vr\u0101tya\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0possessing this knowledge is alienated from Yajn\u0101yajniya and\n \u00a0\u00a0V\u0101madevya, Sacrifice, Sacrificer and sacrificial victims. He\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0who hath this knowledge becomes the beloved home of\n \u00a0\u00a0Yajn\u0101yajniya,V\u0101madevya, Sacrifice, Sacrificer, and sacrificial\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0victims. In the southern region Dawn is his leman, Mitra his\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0panegyrist, knowledge his vesture, day his turban, night his\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0hair, Indra's two Bays are his circular ornaments, New Moon\n \u00a0\u00a0Night and Full Moon Night are his running attendants, Mind,\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0etc. as in stanza 1.\n 3He arose and went away to the western region. Vair\u016bpa and\n \u00a0\u00a0Vair\u0101ja, the Waters, and King Varuna followed him. He who\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0reviles the Vr\u0101tya possessing this knowledge is alienated from\n \u00a0\u00a0Vair\u016bpa and Vair\u0101ja, the Waters and Varuna the King. He\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0who possesses this knowledge becomes the dear home of\n \u00a0\u00a0Vair\u016bpa and Vair\u0101ja, the Waters and King Varuna. In the p. 151\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0western region Ir\u0101 is his leman, Laughter his panegyrist,\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0knowledge, etc., as above. Day and Night are his running\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0attendants, Mind, etc., as above.\n 4He arose and went away to the northern region.
