Griffith, [1895]\n1Savitar make all cattle grow and prosper in my stable with.\n \u00a0\u00a0Amulet of Udumbara, helper of him who longs for wealth!\n 2May he who was our Household Fire, the ruler of our cattle,\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0strong.\n \u00a0\u00a0Amulet of Udumbara endow us with prosperity.\n 3By power of the Udumbara Charm may Dh\u0101tar give me plenty,\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0rich.\n \u00a0\u00a0In the kine's droppings and in fruit, and, in our dwelling, food,\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0and drink.\n 4I win great plenty, while I wear the Amulet of Udumbara.\n \u00a0\u00a0Of quadrupeds and bipeds, of juices and food of every sort.\n 5I have obtained abundant wealth of cattle, bipeds and quad-\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0rupeds, and corn in plenty.\n \u00a0\u00a0Savitar and Brihaspati vouchsafe me the milk of kine and herbs'\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0refreshing juices!\n 6Fain would I be the lord of herds of cattle: may he who rules\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0o'er riches send me riches!\n \u00a0\u00a0May the Udumbara Amulet vouchsafe possessions unto me.\n 7To me with wealth and children come the Amulet of Udumbara.\n \u00a0\u00a0With splendour come the Amulet hastened by Indra on its way!\n 8Divine, foe-quelling Amulet, wealth-winner for the gain of\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0wealth\u2014\n \u00a0\u00a0May it give store of beasts and food and cause our kine to\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0multiply.\n 9As thou, O Forest Tree, wast born with increase when thy life\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0began,\n \u00a0\u00a0So let Sarasvati bestow abundant growth of wealth on me.\n 10Sarasvati vouchsafe me wealth, household prosperity, and corn!\n \u00a0\u00a0Let Siniv\u0101li bring them, and this Amulet of Udumbara.\n 11The Lord of amulets art thou, most mighty: in thee wealth's\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0ruler hath engendered riches,\n \u00a0\u00a0These gains are lodged in thee, and all great treasures. Amulet,\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0conquer thou: far from us banish malignity and indigence,\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0and hunger. p. 237\n 12Vigour art thou, in me do thou plant vigour: riches art thou, so\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0do thou grant me riches.\n \u00a0\u00a0Plenty art thou, so prosper me with plenty: House-holder, hear\"\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0a householder's petition.\n 13Amulet of Udumbara, enrich us: vouchsafe us wealth with all\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0good men about us.
