Griffith, [1895]\n1Night! the terrestrial realm hath been filled with the Father's\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0power and might.\n \u00a0\u00a0Thou spreadest forth on high unto the seats of Heaven: dark-\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0ness that strikes with awe comes near.\n 2Each moving thing finds rest in her whose yonder boundary is\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0not seen, nor that which keeps her separate.\n \u00a0\u00a0O spacious, darksome Night, may we uninjured reach the end of\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0thee, reach, O thou blessed One, thine end.\n 3Thy ninety-nine examiners, O Night, who look upon mankind,\n \u00a0\u00a0Eighty-and-eight in number, or seven-and-seventy are they.\n 4Sixty-and-six, O opulent, fifty-and-five, O happy One,\n \u00a0\u00a0Forty-and-four and thirty-three are they, O thou enriched with\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0spoil.\n 5Twenty-and-two hast thou, O Night, eleven, yea, and fewer still.\n \u00a0\u00a0With these protectors guard us well.
