May he who knows the way, the Leader, guide me straight.\n 2 O Agni, Indra, Varu\u1e47a, and Mitra, give, O ye Gods, and Marut host, and Vi\u1e63\u1e47u.\n May both N\u0101satyas, Rudra, heavenly Matrons, P\u016b\u1e63an, Sarasvat\u012b, Bhaga, accept us.\n 3 Indra and Agni, Mitra, Varu\u1e47a, Aditi, the Waters, Mountains, Maruts, Sky, and Earth and Heaven,\n Vi\u1e63\u1e47u I call, P\u016b\u1e63an, and Brahma\u1e47aspati, and Bhaga, Samsa, Savitar that they may help.\n 4 May Vi\u1e63\u1e47u also and V\u0101ta who injures none, and Soma granter of possessions give us joy;\n And may the \u1e5abhus and the A\u015bvins, Tva\u1e63\u1e6dar and Vibhvan remember us so that we may have wealth.\n 5 So may the band of Maruts dwelling in the sky, the holy, come to us to sit on sacred grass;\n B\u1e5bhaspati and P\u016b\u1e63an grant us sure defence, Varu\u1e47a, Mitra, Aryaman guard and shelter us.\n 6 And may the Mountains famed in noble eulogies, and the fair-gleaming Rivers keep us safe from harm.\n May Bhaga the Dispenser come with power and grace, and far-pervading Aditi listen to my call.\n 7 May the Gods\u2019 Spouses aid us of their own freewill, aid us to offspring and the winning of the spoil.\n Grant us protection, O ye gracious Goddesses, ye who are on the earth or in the waters' realm.\n 8 May the Dames, wives of Gods, enjoy our presents, Rat, A\u015bvini, Agn\u0101y\u012b, and Indr\u0101\u1e47\u012b.\n May Rodas\u012b and Varu\u1e47\u0101n\u012b hear us, and Goddesses come at the Matrons' season.","title":"Rig Veda: Rig-Veda, Book 5: HYMN XLVI.
