The V\u00e1yu has \u00c1ruddha; the Br\u00e1hma, Ang\u00e1rasetu; but \u00c1rat\u0301t\u0301a is a northern country, contiguous to, or synonymous with, G\u00e1ndh\u00e1ra.\n443:2 Of G\u00e1ndh\u00e1ra it is said in the V\u00e1yu that it is a large country named after him, and is famous for its breed of horses: ###. The Matsya reads the beginning of the second line ###, shewing that \u00c1rat\u0301t\u0301a and G\u00e1ndh\u00e1ra are much the same. See p. 191. n. 83.\n443:3 The Br\u00e1hma P. and Hari V., in opposition to all the rest, make Dharma and his successors the descendants of Anu.\n443:4 Ghrita: Agni.\n443:5 Durdama: V\u00e1yu and Bh\u00e1gavata. The Matsya, Br\u00e1hma, and Agni insert a Vidupa, Duduha, or Vidula, before Prachetas.\n443:6 So the Bh\u00e1gavata and Matsya.
