Savitar's overlordship, give\n me sight.\n Range of hearing, northward, in Dh\u00e2tar's overlordship, give\n me increase of wealth.\n Arrangement, upward, in Brihaspati's overlordship, give me\n energy.\n From all destructive spirits guard us. Thou art Manu's mare.\n 13 All-hail! By Maruts be thou compassed round.\n Guard the sky's touches. Mead, mead, mead.\n 14 Germ of the Gods, Father of hymns, all living creatures\u2019\n guardian Lord,\n Radiant, with radiant Savitar united, with the Sun he shines.\n 15 Agni combined with flaming fire, combined with Savitar\n divine, hath shone together with the Sun.\n16 He shines on earth upholder of the sky and heat, the Gods\n upholder, God, immortal, born of heat.\n To him address a speech devoted to the Gods.\n 17 I saw the Herdsman, him who never stumbles, approaching\n by his pathways and departing.\n He, clothed with gathered and diffusive splendour, within\n the worlds continually travels.\n 18 Lord of all earths, Lord of all mind, Lord of all speech,\n thou Lord of speech entire.\n Heard by the Gods, Caldron divine, do thou, a God, protect\n the Gods.\n Here, after, let it speed you twain on to the banquet of the\n Gods.\n Sweetness for both the sweetness-lovers! Sweetness for\n those the twain who take delight in sweetness!\n 19 Thee for the heart, thee for the mind, thee for the sky, for\n S\u00fbrya thee.\n Standing erect lay thou the sacrifice in heaven among the\n Gods.\n 20 Thou art our Father, father-like regard us. Obeisance be to\n thee. Do not thou harm us.\n May we, accompanied by Tvashtar, win thee. Vouchsafe me\n sons and cattle. Grant us offspring. Safe may I be together\n with my husband.\n 21 May Day together with his sheen, pair-lighted with his light,\n accept.
