Pickthall\n 84. al-Inshiqaq: The Rending\n 1\u00a0When the heaven is split asunder \n 2\u00a0And attentive to her Lord in fear, \n 3\u00a0And when the earth is spread out \n 4\u00a0And hath cast out all that was in her, and is empty \n 5\u00a0And attentive to her Lord in fear! \n 6\u00a0Thou, verily, O man, art working toward thy Lord a work which thou wilt meet (in His presence). \n 7\u00a0Then whoso is given his account in his right hand \n 8\u00a0He truly will receive an easy reckoning \n 9\u00a0And will return unto his folk in joy. \n 10\u00a0But whoso is given his account behind his back, \n 11\u00a0He surely will invoke destruction \n 12\u00a0And be thrown to scorching fire. \n 13\u00a0He verily lived joyous with his folk, \n 14\u00a0He verily deemed that he would never return (unto Allah). \n 15\u00a0Nay, but lo! his Lord is ever looking on him! \n 16\u00a0Oh, I swear by the afterglow of sunset, \n 17\u00a0And by the night and all that it enshroudeth, \n 18\u00a0And by the moon when she is at the full, \n 19\u00a0That ye shall journey on from plane to plane. \n 20\u00a0What aileth them, then, that they believe not \n 21\u00a0And, when the Qur'an is recited unto them, worship not (Allah) ? \n 22\u00a0Nay, but those who disbelieve will deny; \n 23\u00a0And Allah knoweth best what they are hiding. \n 24\u00a0So give them tidings of a painful doom, \n 25\u00a0Save those who believe and do good works, for theirs is a reward unfailing.","title":"The Meaning of the Glorious Qur'\u00e2n,: 84. al-Inshiqaq: The Rending","type":"page"}
