Pickthall\n 85. al-Buruj: the Constellations\n 1\u00a0By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, \n 2\u00a0And by the Promised Day. \n 3\u00a0And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, \n 4\u00a0(Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch \n 5\u00a0Of the fuel-fed fire, \n 6\u00a0When they sat by it, \n 7\u00a0And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. \n 8\u00a0They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, \n 9\u00a0Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. \n 10\u00a0Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. \n 11\u00a0Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. \n 12\u00a0Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. \n 13\u00a0Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, \n 14\u00a0And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, \n 15\u00a0Lord of the Throne of Glory, \n 16\u00a0Doer of what He will. \n 17\u00a0Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts \n 18\u00a0Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud ? \n 19\u00a0Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial \n 20\u00a0And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. \n 21\u00a0Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. \n 22\u00a0On a guarded tablet.","title":"The Meaning of the Glorious Qur'\u00e2n,: 85. al-Buruj: the Constellations","type":"page"}
