Pickthall\n 90. al-Balad: The City\n 1\u00a0Nay, I swear by this city - \n 2\u00a0And thou art an indweller of this city - \n 3\u00a0And the begetter and that which he begat, \n 4\u00a0We verily have created man in an atmosphere: \n 5\u00a0Thinketh he that none hath power over him ? \n 6\u00a0And he saith: I have destroyed vast wealth: \n 7\u00a0Thinketh he that none beholdeth him ? \n 8\u00a0Did We not assign unto him two eyes \n 9\u00a0And a tongue and two lips, \n 10\u00a0And guide him to the parting of the mountain ways ? \n 11\u00a0But he hath not attempted the Ascent - \n 12\u00a0Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Ascent is! - \n 13\u00a0(It is) to free a slave, \n 14\u00a0And to feed in the day of hunger. \n 15\u00a0An orphan near of kin, \n 16\u00a0Or some poor wretch in misery, \n 17\u00a0And to be of those who believe and exhort one another to perseverance and exhort one another to pity. \n 18\u00a0Their place will be on the right hand. \n 19\u00a0But those who disbelieve Our revelations, their place will be on the left hand. \n 20\u00a0Fire will be an awning over them.","title":"The Meaning of the Glorious Qur'\u00e2n,: 90. al-Balad: The City","type":"page"}
