Pickthall\n 92. al-Layl: The Night\n 1\u00a0By the night enshrouding \n 2\u00a0And the day resplendent \n 3\u00a0And Him Who hath created male and female, \n 4\u00a0Lo! your effort is dispersed (toward divers ends). \n 5\u00a0As for him who giveth and is dutiful (toward Allah) \n 6\u00a0And believeth in goodness; \n 7\u00a0Surely We will ease his way unto the state of ease. \n 8\u00a0But as for him who hoardeth and deemeth himself independent, \n 9\u00a0And disbelieveth in goodness; \n 10\u00a0Surely We will ease his way unto adversity. \n 11\u00a0His riches will not save him when he perisheth. \n 12\u00a0Lo! Ours it is (to give) the guidance \n 13\u00a0And lo! unto Us belong the latter portion and the former. \n 14\u00a0Therefor have I warned you of the flaming Fire \n 15\u00a0Which only the most wretched must endure, \n 16\u00a0He who denieth and turneth away. \n 17\u00a0Far removed from it will be the righteous \n 18\u00a0Who giveth his wealth that he may grow (in goodness). \n 19\u00a0And none hath with him any favour for reward, \n 20\u00a0Except as seeking (to fulfil) the purpose of his Lord Most High. \n 21\u00a0He verily will be content.","title":"The Meaning of the Glorious Qur'\u00e2n,: 92. al-Layl: The Night","type":"page"}
