Wa-ith qataltum nafsan faiddara/tum feeha waAllahu mukhrijun ma kuntum taktumoona\n72. Remember ye slew a man\n And fell into a dispute\n Among yourselves as to the crime:\n But God was to bring forth\n What ye did hide.\n73. Faqulna idriboohu bibaAAdiha kathalika yuhyee Allahu almawta wayureekum ayatihi laAAallakum taAAqiloona\n73. So We said: \"Strike the (body)\n With a piece of the (heifer).\"\n Thus God bringeth the dead\n To life and showeth you His Signs:\n Perchance ye may understand.\n74. Thumma qasat quloobukum min baAAdi thalika fahiya kaalhijarati aw ashaddu qaswatan wa-inna mina alhijarati lama yatafajjaru minhu al-anharu wa-inna minha lama yashshaqqaqu fayakhruju minhu almao wa-inna minha lama yahbitu min khashyati Allahi wama Allahu bighafilin AAamma taAAmaloona\n74. Thenceforth were your hearts\n Hardened: they became\n Like a rock and even worse\n In hardness. For among rocks\n There are some from which\n Rivers gush forth; others\n There are which when split\n Asunder send forth water;\n And others which sink\nFor fear of God. And God is\n Not unmindful of what ye do.\n75. AfatatmaAAoona an yu/minoo lakum waqad kana fareequn minhum yasmaAAoona kalama Allahi thumma yuharrifoonahu min baAAdi ma AAaqaloohu wahum yaAAlamoona\n75. Can ye (O ye men of Faith)\n Entertain the hope that they\n Will believe in you?\u2014\n Seeing that a party of them\n Heard the Word of God,\n And perverted it knowingly\n After they understood it.\n76. Wa-itha laqoo allatheena amanoo qaloo amanna wa-itha khala baAAduhum ila baAAdin qaloo atuhaddithoonahum bima fataha Allahu AAalaykum liyuhajjookum bihi AAinda rabbikum afala taAAqiloona\n76. Behold! when they meet\n The men of Faith, they say:\n \"We believe\": but when\n They meet each other in private,\n They say: \"Shall you tell them\n What God hath revealed to you,\n That they may engage you\n In argument about it\n Before your Lord?\"\u2014\n Do ye not understand (their aim)?\n77. Awa la yaAAlamoona anna Allaha yaAAlamu ma yusirroona wama yuAAlinoona\n77. Know they not that God\n Knoweth what they conceal\n And what they reveal?\n78. Waminhum ommiyyoona la yaAAlamoona alkitaba illa amaniyya wa-in hum illa yathunnoona\n78. And there are among them\n Illiterates, who know not the Book,\n But (see therein their own) desires,\n And they do nothing but conjecture.\n79. Fawaylun lillatheena yaktuboona alkitaba bi-aydeehim thumma yaqooloona hatha min AAindi Allahi liyashtaroo bihi thamanan qaleelan fawaylun lahum mimma katabat aydeehim wawaylun lahum mimma yaksiboona\n79. Then woe to those who write\n The Book with their own hands,\n And then say: \"This is from God,\"\n To traffic with it\n For a miserable price!\u2014\n Woe to them for what their hands\n Do write, and for the gain\n They make thereby.\n80. Waqaloo lan tamassana alnnaru illa ayyaman maAAdoodatan qul attakhathtum AAinda Allahi AAahdan falan yukhlifa Allahu AAahdahu am taqooloona AAala Allahi ma la taAAlamoona\n80. And they say: \"The Fire\n Shall not touch us\n But for a few numbered days:\"\n Say: \"Have ye taken a promise\n From God, for He never\n Breaks His promise?\n Or is it that ye say of God\n What ye do not know?\"\n81. Bala man kasaba sayyi-atan waahatat bihi khatee-atuhu faola-ika as-habu alnnari hum feeha khalidoona\n81. Nay, those who seek gain\n In Evil, and are girt round\n By their sins,\n They are Companions of the Fire:\n Therein shall they abide\n (For ever).\n82. Waallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati ola-ika as-habu aljannati hum feeha khalidoona\n82.
