Laysa albirra an tuwalloo wujoohakum qibala almashriqi waalmaghribi walakinna albirra man amana biAllahi waalyawmi al-akhiri waalmala-ikati waalkitabi waalnnabiyyeena waata almala AAala hubbihi thawee alqurba waalyatama waalmasakeena waibna alssabeeli waalssa-ileena wafee alrriqabi waaqama alssalata waata alzzakata waalmoofoona biAAahdihim itha AAahadoo waalssabireena fee alba/sa-i waalddarra-i waheena alba/si ola-ika allatheena sadaqoo waola-ika humu almuttaqoona\n177. It is not righteousness\n That ye turn your faces\n Towards East or West;\n But it is righteousness\u2014\n To believe in God\n And the Last Day,\n And the Angels,\n And the Book,\n And the Messengers;\n To spend of your substance,\n Out of love for Him,\n For your kin,\n For orphans,\n For the needy,\n For the wayfarer,\n For those who ask,\n And for the ransom of slaves;\n To be steadfast in prayer,\n And practice regular charity;\n To fulfil the contracts\n Which ye have made;\nAnd to be firm and patient,\n In pain (or suffering)\n And adversity,\n And throughout\n All periods of panic.\n Such are the people\n Of truth, the God-fearing.\n178. Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo kutiba AAalaykumu alqisasu fee alqatla alhurru bialhurri waalAAabdu bialAAabdi waalontha bialontha faman AAufiya lahu min akheehi shay-on faittibaAAun bialmaAAroofi waadaon ilayhi bi-ihsanin thalika takhfeefun min rabbikum warahmatun famani iAAtada baAAda thalika falahu AAathabun aleemun\n178. O ye who believe!\n The law of equality\n Is prescribed to you\n In cases of murder:\n The free for the free,\n The slave for the slave,\n The woman for the woman.\n But if any remission\n Is made by the brother\n Of the slain, then grant\n Any reasonable demand,\n And compensate him\nWith handsome gratitude.\n This is a concession\n And a Mercy\n From your Lord.\n After this whoever\n Exceeds the limits\n Shall be in grave penalty.\n179. Walakum fee alqisasi hayatun ya olee al-albabi laAAallakum tattaqoona\n179. In the Law of Equality\n There is (saving of) Life\n To you, O ye men of understanding;\n That ye may\n Restrain yourselves.\n180. Kutiba AAalaykum itha hadara ahadakumu almawtu in taraka khayran alwasiyyatu lilwalidayni waal-aqrabeena bialmaAAroofi haqqan AAala almuttaqeena\n180. It is prescribed,\n When death approaches\n Any of you, if he leave\n Any goods, that he make a bequest\n To parents and next of kin,\n According to reasonable usage;\n This is due\n From the God-fearing.\n181. Faman baddalahu baAAda ma samiAAahu fa-innama ithmuhu AAala allatheena yubaddiloonahu inna Allaha sameeAAun AAaleemun\n181. If anyone changes the bequest\n After hearing it,\n The guilt shall be on those\n Who make the change.\n For God hears and knows\n (All things).\n182. Faman khafa min moosin janafan aw ithman faaslaha baynahum fala ithma AAalayhi inna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun\n182.
