Waqalat ta-ifatun min ahli alkitabi aminoo biallathee onzila AAala allatheena amanoo wajha alnnahari waokfuroo akhirahu laAAallahum yarjiAAoona\n72. A section of the People\n Of the Book say:\n \"Believe in the morning\n What is revealed\n To the Believers,\n But reject it at the end\n Of the day; perchance\n They may (themselves)\n Turn back;\n73. Wala tu/minoo illa liman tabiAAa deenakum qul inna alhuda huda Allahi an yu/ta ahadun mithla ma ooteetum aw yuhajjookum AAinda rabbikum qul inna alfadla biyadi Allahi yu/teehi man yashao waAllahu wasiAAun AAaleemun\n73. \"And believe no one\n Unless he follows\n Your religion.\"\n Say: \"True guidance\n Is the guidance of God:\n (Fear ye) lest a revelation\n Be sent to someone (else)\n Like unto that which was sent\n Unto you? Or that those\n (Receiving such revelation)\n Should engage you in argument\n Before your Lord?\"\n Say: \"All bounties\n Are in the hand of God:\n He granteth them\n To whom He pleaseth:\nAnd God careth for all,\n And He knoweth all things.\"\n74. Yakhtassu birahmatihi man yashao waAllahu thoo alfadli alAAatheemi\n74. For His Mercy He specially chooseth\n Whom He pleaseth;\n For God is the Lord\n Of bounties unbounded.\n75. Wamin ahli alkitabi man in ta/manhu biqintarin yu-addihi ilayka waminhum man in ta/manhu bideenarin la yu-addihi ilayka illa ma dumta AAalayhi qa-iman thalika bi-annahum qaloo laysa AAalayna fee al-ommiyyeena sabeelun wayaqooloona AAala Allahi alkathiba wahum yaAAlamoona\n75. Among the People of the Book\n Are some who, if entrusted\n With a hoard of gold,\n Will (readily) pay it back;\n Others, who, if entrusted\n With a single silver coin,\n Will not repay it unless\n Thou constantly stoodest\n Demanding, because,\n They say, \"there is no call\n On us (to keep faith)\n With these ignorant (Pagans).\"\n But they tell a lie against God,\n And (well) they know it.\n76. Bala man awfa biAAahdihi waittaqa fa-inna Allaha yuhibbu almuttaqeena\n76. Nay.\u2014Those that keep\n Their plighted faith\n And act aright,\u2014verily\n God loves those\n Who act aright.\n77. Inna allatheena yashtaroona biAAahdi Allahi waaymanihim thamanan qaleelan ola-ika la khalaqa lahum fee al-akhirati wala yukallimuhumu Allahu wala yanthuru ilayhim yawma alqiyamati wala yuzakkeehim walahum AAathabun aleemun\n77. As for those who sell\n The faith they owe to God\n And their own plighted word\n For a small price,\n They shall have no portion\n In the Hereafter:\nNor will God\n (Deign to) speak to them\n Or look at them\n On the Day of Judgment,\n Nor will He cleanse them\n (Of sin): they shall have\n A grievous Penalty.\n78. Wa-inna minhum lafareeqan yalwoona alsinatahum bialkitabi litahsaboohu mina alkitabi wama huwa mina alkitabi wayaqooloona huwa min AAindi Allahi wama huwa min AAindi Allahi wayaqooloona AAala Allahi alkathiba wahum yaAAlamoona\n78. There is among them\n A section who distort\n The Book with their tongues\n (As they read) you would think\n It is a part of the Book,\n But it is no part\n Of the Book; and they say,\n That is from God,\"\n But it is not from God:\n It is they who tell\n A lie against God,\n And (well) they know it!\n79. Ma kana libasharin an yu/tiyahu Allahu alkitaba waalhukma waalnnubuwwata thumma yaqoola lilnnasi koonoo AAibadan lee min dooni Allahi walakin koonoo rabbaniyyeena bima kuntum tuAAallimoona alkitaba wabima kuntum tadrusoona\n79. It is not (possible)\n That a man, to whom\n Is given the Book,\n And Wisdom,\n And the Prophetic Office,\n Should say to people:\n \"Be ye my worshippers\n Rather than God's\":\n On the contrary\n (He would say):\n \"Be ye worshippers\n Of Him Who is truly\n The Cherisher of all:\n For ye have taught\n The Book and ye\n Have studied it earnestly.\"\n80. Wala ya/murakum an tattakhithoo almala-ikata waalnnabiyyeena arbaban aya/murukum bialkufri baAAda ith antum muslimoona\n80.
