They ask thy instruction\n Concerning the Women\n Say: God doth\n Instruct you about them:\n And (remember) what hath\n Been rehearsed unto you\n In the Book, concerning\n The orphans of women to whom\n Ye give not the portions\n Prescribed, and yet whom ye\n Desire to marry, as also\n Concerning the children\n Who are weak and oppressed:\n That ye stand firm\n For justice to orphans.\n There is not a good deed\n Which ye do, but God\n Is well-acquainted therewith.\n128. If a wife fears\n Cruelty or desertion\n On her husband's part,\n There is no blame on them\n If they arrange\n An amicable settlement\n Between themselves;\n And such settlement is best;\nEven though men's souls\n Are swayed by greed.\n But if ye do good\n And practise self-restraint,\n God is well-acquainted\n With all that ye do.\n129. To God belong all things\n In the heavens and on earth.\nVerily We have directed\n The People of the Book\n Before you, and you (O Muslims).\n To fear God. But if ye\n Deny Him, to! unto God\n Belong all things\n In the heavens and on earth,\n And God is free\n Of all wants, worthy\n Of all praise.\n132.
