Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo itha qumtum ila alssalati faighsiloo wujoohakum waaydiyakum ila almarafiqi waimsahoo biruoosikum waarjulakum ila alkaAAbayni wa-in kuntum junuban faittahharoo wa-in kuntum marda aw AAala safarin aw jaa ahadun minkum mina algha-iti aw lamastumu alnnisaa falam tajidoo maan fatayammamoo saAAeedan tayyiban faimsahoo biwujoohikum waaydeekum minhu ma yureedu Allahu liyajAAala AAalaykum min harajin walakin yureedu liyutahhirakum waliyutimma niAAmatahu AAalaykum laAAallakum tashkuroona\n6. 7 O ye who believe!\n When ye prepare\n For prayer, wash\n Your faces, and your hands\n (And arms) to the elbows;\n Rub your heads (with water);\n And (wash) your feet\n To the ankles.\n If ye are in a state\n Of ceremonial impurity,\n Bathe your whole body.\n But if ye are ill,\n Or on a journey,\n Or one of you cometh\n From offices of nature,\n Or ye have been\n In contact with women,\n And ye find no water,\n Then take for yourselves\n Clean sand or earth,\nAnd rub therewith\n Your faces and hands.\n God doth not wish\n To place you in a difficulty,\n But to make you clean,\n And to complete\n His favour to you,\n That ye may be grateful.\n7. Waothkuroo niAAmata Allahi AAalaykum wameethaqahu allathee wathaqakum bihi ith qultum samiAAna waataAAna waittaqoo Allaha inna Allaha AAaleemun bithati alssudoori\n7. 8 And call in remembrance\n The favour of God\n Unto you, and His Covenant,\n Which He ratified\n With you, when ye said:\n \"We hear and we obey\":\n And fear God, for God\n Knoweth well\n The secrets of your hearts.\n8. Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo koonoo qawwameena lillahi shuhadaa bialqisti wala yajrimannakum shanaanu qawmin AAala alla taAAdiloo iAAdiloo huwa aqrabu lilttaqwa waittaqoo Allaha inna Allaha khabeerun bima taAAmaloona\n8. 9 O ye who believe!\n Stand out firmly\n For God, as witnesses\n To fair dealing, and let not\n The hatred of others\n To you make you swerve\n To wrong and depart from\n Justice. Be just: that is\n Next to Piety: and fear God.\n For God is well-acquainted\n With all that ye do.\n9. WaAAada Allahu allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati lahum maghfiratun waajrun AAatheemun\n9. 10 To those who believe\n And do deeds of righteousness\n Hath God promised forgiveness\n And a great reward.\n10. Waallatheena kafaroo wakaththaboo bi-ayatina ola-ika as-habu aljaheemi\n10. 11 Those who reject faith\n And deny Our Signs\n Will be Companions\n Of Hell-fire.\n11. Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo othkuroo niAAmata Allahi AAalaykum ith hamma qawmun an yabsutoo ilaykum aydiyahum fakaffa aydiyahum AAankum waittaqoo Allaha waAAala Allahi falyatawakkali almu/minoona\n11. 12 O ye who believe\n Call in remembrance\n The favour of God\n Unto you when\n Certain men formed the design\n To stretch out\n Their hands against you,\n But (God) held back\n Their hands from you:\n So fear God.
