Wahatha kitabun anzalnahu mubarakun faittabiAAoohu waittaqoo laAAallakum turhamoona\n155. And this is a Book\n Which We have revealed\n As a blessing: so follow it\n And be righteous, that ye\n May receive mercy:\n156. An taqooloo innama onzila alkitabu AAala ta-ifatayni min qablina wa-in kunna AAan dirasatihim laghafileena\n156. Lest ye should say:\n \"The Book was sent down\n To two Peoples before us,\n And for our part, we\n Remained unacquainted\nWith all that they learned\n By assiduous study;\"\n157. Aw taqooloo law anna onzila AAalayna alkitabu lakunna ahda minhum faqad jaakum bayyinatun min rabbikum wahudan warahmatun faman athlamu mimman kaththaba bi-ayati Allahi wasadafa AAanha sanajzee allatheena yasdifoona AAan ayatina soo-a alAAathabi bima kanoo yasdifoona\n157. Or lest ye should say:\n \"If the Book had only\n Been sent down to us,\n We should have followed\n Its guidance better than they.\"\n Now then hath come\n Unto you a Clear (Sign)\n From your Lord,\u2014and a guide\n And a mercy: then who\n Could do more wrong\n Than one who rejecteth\n God's Signs, and turneth\n Away therefrom? In good time\n Shall We requite those\n Who turn away from Our Signs,\n With a dreadful penalty,\n For their turning away.\n158. Hal yanthuroona illa an ta/tiyahumu almala-ikatu aw ya/tiya rabbuka aw ya/tiya baAAdu ayati rabbika yawma ya/tee baAAdu ayati rabbika la yanfaAAu nafsan eemanuha lam takun amanat min qablu aw kasabat fee eemaniha khayran quli intathiroo inna muntathiroona\n158. Are they waiting to see\n If the angels come to them,\n Or thy Lord (Himself),\n Or certain of the Signs\n Of thy Lord!\n The day that certain\n Of the Signs of thy Lord\n Do come, no good\n Will it do to a soul\n To believe in them then,\n If it believed not before\n Nor earned righteousness\n Through its Faith. Say:\n \"Wait ye: we too\n Are waiting.\"\n159. Inna allatheena farraqoo deenahum wakanoo shiyaAAan lasta minhum fee shay-in innama amruhum ila Allahi thumma yunabbi-ohum bima kanoo yafAAaloona\n159. As for those who divide\n Their religion and break up\n Into sects, thou hast\n No part in them in the least:\n Their affair is with God:\n He will in the end\n Tell them the truth\n Of all that they did.\n160. Man jaa bialhasanati falahu AAashru amthaliha waman jaa bialssayyi-ati fala yujza illa mithlaha wahum la yuthlamoona\n160. He that doeth good\n Shall have ten times\n As much to his credit:\n He that doeth evil\n Shall only be recompensed\n According to his evil:\n No wrong shall be done\n Unto (any of) them.\n161. Qul innanee hadanee rabbee ila siratin mustaqeemin deenan qiyaman millata ibraheema haneefan wama kana mina almushrikeena\n161. Say: \"Verily, my Lord\n Hath guided me to\n A Way that is straight,\u2014\n A religion of right,\n The Path (trod) by Abraham\n The true in faith,\n And he (certainly)\n Joined not gods with God.\"\n162. Qul inna salatee wanusukee wamahyaya wamamatee lillahi rabbi alAAalameena\n162. Say: \"Truly, my prayer\n And my service of sacrifice,\n My life and my death,\n Are (all) for God,\n The Cherisher of the Worlds:\n163. La shareeka lahu wabithalika omirtu waana awwalu almuslimeena\n163. No partner hath He:\n This am I commanded,\n And I am the first\n Of those who bow\n To His Will.\n164. Qul aghayra Allahi abghee rabban wahuwa rabbu kulli shay-in wala taksibu kullu nafsin illa AAalayha wala taziru waziratun wizra okhra thumma ila rabbikum marjiAAukum fayunabbi-okum bima kuntum feehi takhtalifoona\n164. Say: \"Shall I seek\n For (my) Cherisher\nOther than God,\n When He is the Cherisher\n Of all things (that exist)?\n Every soul draws the meed\n Of its acts on none\n But itself: no bearer\n Of burdens can bear\n The burden of another.\n Your goal in the end\n Is towards God: He will tell\n You the truth of the things\n Wherein ye disputed.\"\n165. Wahuwa allathee jaAAalakum khala-ifa al-ardi warafaAAa baAAdakum fawqa baAAdin darajatin liyabluwakum fee ma atakum inna rabbaka sareeAAu alAAiqabi wa-innahu laghafoorun raheemun\n165. It is He Who hath made\n You (His) agents, inheritors\n Of the earth: He hath raised\n You in ranks, some above\n Others: that He may try you\n In the gifts He hath given you:\n For thy Lord is quick\n In punishment: yet He\n Is indeed Oft-forgiving,\n Most Merciful.","title":"The Quran: S\u016bra VI.: An\u2019\u0101m, or Cattle.: Section 20 (155-165)","type":"page"}
