Awa lam yahdi lillatheena yarithoona al-arda min baAAdi ahliha an law nashao asabnahum bithunoobihim wanatbaAAu AAala quloobihim fahum la yasmaAAoona\n100. To those who inherit\n The earth in succession\n To its (previous) possessors,\n Is it not a guiding (lesson)\n That, if We so willed,\n We could punish them (too)\n For their sins, and seal up\n Their hearts so that they\n Could not hear?\n101. Tilka alqura naqussu AAalayka min anba-iha walaqad jaat-hum rusuluhum bialbayyinati fama kanoo liyu/minoo bima kaththaboo min qablu kathalika yatbaAAu Allahu AAala quloobi alkafireena\n101. Such were the towns\n Whose story We (thus)\n Relate unto thee:\n There came indeed to them\n Their apostles with clear (Signs):\n But they would not believe\n What they had rejected before.\n Thus doth God seal up\n The hearts of those\n Who reject Faith.\n102. Wama wajadna li-aktharihim min AAahdin wa-in wajadna aktharahum lafasiqeena\n102. Most of them We found not\n Men (true) to their covenant:\n But most of them We found\n Rebellious and disobedient.\n103. Thumma baAAathna min baAAdihim moosa bi-ayatina ila firAAawna wamala-ihi fathalamoo biha faonuthur kayfa kana AAaqibatu almufsideena\n103. Then after them We sent\n Moses with Our Signs\n To Pharaoh and his chiefs,\n But they wrongfully rejected them:\n So see what was the end\n Of those who made mischief.\n104. Waqala moosa ya firAAawnu innee rasoolun min rabbi alAAalameena\n104. Moses said: \"O Pharaoh!\n I am an apostle from\n The Lord of the Worlds,\u2014\n105. Haqeequn AAala an la aqoola AAala Allahi illa alhaqqa qad ji/tukum bibayyinatin min rabbikum faarsil maAAiya banee isra-eela\n105. One for whom it is right\n To say nothing but truth\n About God. Now have I\n Come unto you (people), from\n Your Lord, with a clear (Sign):\n So let the Children of Israel\n Depart along with me.\"\n106. Qala in kunta ji/ta bi-ayatin fa/ti biha in kunta mina alssadiqeena\n106. (Pharaoh) said: \"If indeed\n Thou hast come with a Sign,\nShow it forth,\n If thou tellest the truth.\"\n107. Faalqa AAasahu fa-itha hiya thuAAbanun mubeenun\n107. Then (Moses) threw his rod,\n And behold! it was\n A serpent, plain (for all to see)!\n108. WanazaAAa yadahu fa-itha hiya baydao lilnnathireena\n108.
