Ith yughashsheekumu alnnuAAasa amanatan minhu wayunazzilu AAalaykum mina alssama-i maan liyutahhirakum bihi wayuthhiba AAankum rijza alshshaytani waliyarbita AAala quloobikum wayuthabbita bihi al-aqdama\n11. Remember He covered you\n With a sort of drowsiness,\n To give you calm as from\n Himself, and he caused\n Rain to descend on you\n From heaven, to clean you\n Therewith, to remove from you\n The stain of Satan,\n To strengthen your hearts,\n And to plant your feet\n Firmly therewith.\n12. Ith yoohee rabbuka ila almala-ikati annee maAAakum fathabbitoo allatheena amanoo saolqee fee quloobi allatheena kafaroo alrruAAba faidriboo fawqa al-aAAnaqi waidriboo minhum kulla bananin\n12. Remember thy Lord inspired\n The angels (with the message):\n \"I am with you: give\n Firmness to the Believers:\nI will instil terror\n Into the hearts of the Unbelievers:\n Smite ye above their necks\n And smite all their\n Finger-tips off them.\n13. Thalika bi-annahum shaqqoo Allaha warasoolahu waman yushaqiqi Allaha warasoolahu fa-inna Allaha shadeedu alAAiqabi\n13. This because they contended\n Against God and His Apostle:\n If any contend against God\n And His Apostle, God\n Is strict in punishment.\n14. Thalikum fathooqoohu waanna lilkafireena AAathaba alnnari\n14. Thus (will it be said): \"Taste ye\n Then of the (punishment):\n For those who resist God,\n Is the penalty of the Fire.\"\n15. Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo itha laqeetumu allatheena kafaroo zahfan fala tuwalloohumu al-adbara\n15. O ye who believe!\n When ye meet\n The Unbelievers\n In hostile array,\n Never turn your backs\n To them.\n16. Waman yuwallihim yawma-ithin duburahu illa mutaharrifan liqitalin aw mutahayyizan ila fi-atin faqad baa bighadabin mina Allahi wama/wahu jahannamu wabi/sa almaseeru\n16. If any do turn his back\n To them on such a day\u2014\n Unless it be in a stratagem\n Of war, or to retreat\n To a troop (of his own)\u2014\n He draws on himself\n The wrath of God,\n And his abode is Hell,\u2014\n An evil refuge (indeed)!\n17. Falam taqtuloohum walakinna Allaha qatalahum wama ramayta ith ramayta walakinna Allaha rama waliyubliya almu/mineena minhu balaan hasanan inna Allaha sameeAAun AAaleemun\n17. It is not ye who\n Slew them; it was God:\nWhen thou threwest (a handful\n Of dust), it was not\n Thy act, but God's:\n In order that He might\n Test the Believers\n By a gracious trial\n From Himself: for God\n Is He Who heareth\n And knoweth (all things).\n18. Thalikum waanna Allaha moohinu kaydi alkafireena\n18. That, and also because\n God is He Who makes feeble\n The plans and stratagems\n Of the Unbelievers.\n19. In tastaftihoo faqad jaakumu alfathu wa-in tantahoo fahuwa khayrun lakum wa-in taAAoodoo naAAud walan tughniya AAankum fi-atukum shay-an walaw kathurat waanna Allaha maAAa almu/mineena\n19. (O Unbelievers!) if ye prayed\n For victory and judgment,\n Now hath the judgment\n Come to you: if ye desist\n (From wrong), it will be\n Best for you: if ye return\n (To the attack), so shall We.\n Not the least good\n Will your forces be to you\n Even if they were multiplied:\n For verily God\n Is with those who believe!","title":"The Quran: S\u016bra VIII.: Anf\u0101l, or the Spoils of War.: Section 2 (11-19)","type":"page"}
