Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo in tattaqoo Allaha yajAAal lakum furqanan wayukaffir AAankum sayyi-atikum wayaghfir lakum waAllahu thoo alfadli alAAatheemi\n29. O ye who believe!\n If ye fear God,\n He will grant you a Criterion\n (To judge between right and wrong),\n Remove from you (all) evil\n (That may afflict) you,\n And forgive you:\n For God is the Lord\n Of grace unbounded.\n30. Wa-ith yamkuru bika allatheena kafaroo liyuthbitooka aw yaqtulooka aw yukhrijooka wayamkuroona wayamkuru Allahu waAllahu khayru almakireena\n30. Remember how the Unbelievers\n Plotted against thee, to keep\n Thee in bonds, or slay thee,\n Or get thee out (of thy home).\n They plot and plan,\n And God too plans,\n But the best of planners\n Is God.\n31. Wa-itha tutla AAalayhim ayatuna qaloo qad samiAAna law nashao laqulna mithla hatha in hatha illa asateeru al-awwaleena\n31. When Our Signs are rehearsed\n To them, they say: \"We\n Have heard this (before):\n If we wished, we could\n Say (words) like these:\n These are nothing\n But tales of the ancients.\"\n32. Wa-ith qaloo allahumma in kana hatha huwa alhaqqa min AAindika faamtir AAalayna hijaratan mina alssama-i awi i/tina biAAathabin aleemin\n32. Remember how they said:\n \"O God! if this is indeed\n The Truth from Thee,\n Rain down on as a shower\n Of stones from the sky,\n Or send us a grievous Penalty.\n33. Wama kana Allahu liyuAAaththibahum waanta feehim wama kana Allahu muAAaththibahum wahum yastaghfiroona\n33. But God was not going\n To send them a Penalty\n Whilst thou wast amongst them;\n Nor was He going to send it\n Whilst they could ask for pardon\n34. Wama lahum alla yuAAaththibahumu Allahu wahum yasuddoona AAani almasjidi alharami wama kanoo awliyaahu in awliyaohu illa almuttaqoona walakinna aktharahum la yaAAlamoona\n34. But what plea have they\n That God should not punish\n Them, when they keep out\n (Men) from the Sacred Mosque\u2014\n And they are not its guardians?\n No men can be its guardians\n Except the righteous; but most\n Of them do not understand.\n35. Wama kana salatuhum AAinda albayti illa mukaan watasdiyatan fathooqoo alAAathaba bima kuntum takfuroona\n35. Their prayer at the House\n (Of God) is nothing but\n Whistling and clapping of hands:\n (Its only answer can be),\n \"Taste ye the Penalty\n Because ye blasphemed.\"\n36. Inna allatheena kafaroo yunfiqoona amwalahum liyasuddoo AAan sabeeli Allahi fasayunfiqoonaha thumma takoonu AAalayhim hasratan thumma yughlaboona waallatheena kafaroo ila jahannama yuhsharoona\n36. The Unbelievers spend their wealth\n To hinder (men) from the path\n Of God, and so will they\n Continue to spend; but\n In the end they will have\n (Only) regrets and sighs;\nAt length they will be overcome:\n And the Unbelievers will be\n Gathered together to Hell;\u2014\n37. Liyameeza Allahu alkhabeetha mina alttayyibi wayajAAala alkhabeetha baAAdahu AAala baAAdin fayarkumahu jameeAAan fayajAAalahu fee jahannama ola-ika humu alkhasiroona\n37. In order that God may separate\n The impure from the pure,\n Put the impure, one on another,\n Heap them together, and cast them\n Into Hell.
