And there were, among\n The desert Arabs (also),\n Men who made excuses\n And came to claim exemption;\n And those who were false\n To God and His Apostle\n (Merely) sat inactive.\n Soon will a grievous penalty\n Seize the Unbelievers\n Among them.\n91. There is no blame\n On those who are infirm,\nOr ill, or who find\n No resources to spend\n (On the Cause), if they\n Are sincere (in duty) to God\n And His Apostle:\n No ground (of complaint)\n Can there be against such\n As do right: and God\n Is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.\n92. The Arabs of the desert\n Are the worst in unbelief\n And hypocrisy, and most fitted\n To be in ignorance\n Of the command which God\n Hath sent down to His Apostle:\n But God is All-Knowing,\n All-Wise.\n98. Some of the desert Arabs\n Look upon their payments\nAs a fine, and watch\n For disasters for you: on them\n Be the disaster of Evil:\n For God is He that heareth\n And knoweth (all things).\n99. But some of the desert Arabs\n Believe in God and the Last Day,\n And look on their payments\n As pious gifts bringing them\n Nearer to God and obtaining\n The prayers of the Apostle.\n Aye, indeed they bring them\n Nearer (to Him): soon will God\n Admit them to His Mercy:\n For God is Oft-Forgiving,\n Most Merciful.","title":"The Quran: S\u016bra IX.: Tauba (Repentance) or Bar\u0101at (Immunity).: Section 12 (90-99)","type":"page"}
