Wadakhala maAAahu alssijna fatayani qala ahaduhuma innee aranee aAAsiru khamran waqala al-akharu innee aranee ahmilu fawqa ra/see khubzan ta/kulu alttayru minhu nabbi/na bita/weelihi inna naraka mina almuhsineena\n36. Now with him there came\n Into the prison two young men.\n Said one of them: \"I see\n Myself (in a dream)\n Pressing wine.\" Said the other:\n \"I see myself (in a dream)\n Carrying bread on my head,\n And birds are eating thereof.\"\n \"Tell us\" (they said) \"the truth\n And meaning thereof: for we\n See thou art one\n That doth good (to all).\"\n37. Qala la ya/teekuma taAAamun turzaqanihi illa nabba/tukuma bita/weelihi qabla an ya/tiyakuma thalikuma mimma AAallamanee rabbee innee taraktu millata qawmin la yu/minoona biAllahi wahum bial-akhirati hum kafiroona\n37. He said: \"Before any food\n Comes (in due course)\n To feed either of you,\n I will surely reveal\n To you the truth\n And meaning of this\n Ere it befall you\n That is part of the (Duty)\n Which my Lord hath taught me.\n I have (I assure you)\nAbandoned the ways\n Of a people that believe not\n In God and that (even)\n Deny the Hereafter.\n38. WaittabaAAtu millata aba-ee ibraheema wa-ishaqa wayaAAqooba ma kana lana an nushrika biAllahi min shay-in thalika min fadli Allahi AAalayna waAAala alnnasi walakinna akthara alnnasi la yashkuroona\n38. \"And I follow the ways\n Of my fathers,\u2014Abraham,\n Isaac, and Jacob; and never\n Could we attribute any partners\n Whatever to God: that (comes)\n Of the grace of God to us\n And to mankind: yet\n Most men are not grateful\n39. Ya sahibayi alssijni aarbabun mutafarriqoona khayrun ami Allahu alwahidu alqahharu\n39. \"O my two companions.\n Of the prison! (I ask you):\n Are many lords differing\n Among themselves better,\n Or the One God,\n Supreme and Irresistible?\n40. Ma taAAbudoona min doonihi illa asmaan sammaytumooha antum waabaokum ma anzala Allahu biha min sultanin ini alhukmu illa lillahi amara alla taAAbudoo illa iyyahu thalika alddeenu alqayyimu walakinna akthara alnnasi la yaAAlamoona\n40. \"If not Him, ye worship nothing\n But names which ye have named,\u2014\n Ye and your fathers,\u2014\n For which God hath sent down\n No authority: the Command\n Is for none but God: He\nHath commanded that ye worship\n None but Him: that is\n The right religion, but\n Most men understand not\u2026\n41. Ya sahibayi alssijni amma ahadukuma fayasqee rabbahu khamran waamma al-akharu fayuslabu fata/kulu alttayru min ra/sihi qudiya al-amru allathee feehi tastaftiyani\n41. \"O my two companions\n Of the prison! As to one\n Of you, he will pour out\n The wine for his lord to drink:\n As for the other, he will\n Hang from the cross, and the birds\n Will eat from off his head.\n (So) hath been decreed\n That matter whereof\n Ye twain do enquire\"\u2026\n42. Waqala lillathee thanna annahu najin minhuma othkurnee AAinda rabbika faansahu alshshaytanu thikra rabbihi falabitha fee alssijni bidAAa sineena\n42.
