Alif-lam-ra kitabun anzalnahu ilayka litukhrija alnnasa mina alththulumati ila alnnoori bi-ithni rabbihim ila sirati alAAazeezi alhameedi\n1. A. L. R. A Book\n Which We have revealed\n Unto thee, in order that\n Thou mightest lead mankind\n Out of the depths of darkness\n Into light\u2014by the leave\n Of their Lord\u2014to the Way\n Of (Him) the Exalted in Power,\n Worthy of all Praise!\u2014\n2. Allahi allathee lahu ma fee alssamawati wama fee al-ardi wawaylun lilkafireena min AAathabin shadeedin\n2. Of God, to Whom do belong\n All things in the heavens\n And on earth!\n But alas for the Unbelievers\n For a terrible Penalty\n (Their Unfaith will bring them)!\u2014\n3. Allatheena yastahibboona alhayata alddunya AAala al-akhirati wayasuddoona AAan sabeeli Allahi wayabghoonaha AAiwajan ola-ika fee dalalin baAAeedin\n3. Those who love the life\n Of this world more than\n The Hereafter, who hinder (men)\n From the Path of God\n And seek therein something crooked:\n They are astray\n By a long distance.\n4. Wama arsalna min rasoolin illa bilisani qawmihi liyubayyina lahum fayudillu Allahu man yashao wayahdee man yashao wahuwa alAAazeezu alhakeemu\n4. We sent not an apostle\n Except (to teach) in the language\n Of his (own) people, in order\n To make (things) clear to them.\n Now God leaves straying\n Those whom He pleases\n And guides whom He pleases:\n And He is Exalted in Power,\n Full of Wisdom.\n5. Walaqad arsalna moosa bi-ayatina an akhrij qawmaka mina alththulumati ila alnnoori wathakkirhum bi-ayyami Allahi inna fee thalika laayatin likulli sabbarin shakoorin\n5. We sent Moses with Our Signs\n (And the command). \"Bring out\n Thy people from the depths\n Of darkness into light,\n And teach them to remember\n The Days of God.\" Verily\n In this there are Signs\n For such as are firmly patient\n And constant,\u2014grateful and appreciative.\n6. Wa-ith qala moosa liqawmihi othkuroo niAAmata Allahi AAalaykum ith anjakum min ali firAAawna yasoomoonakum soo-a alAAathabi wayuthabbihoona abnaakum wayastahyoona nisaakum wafee thalikum balaon min rabbikum AAatheemun\n6. Remember! Moses said\n To his people: \"Call to mind\n The favour of God to you\n When He delivered you\nFrom the people of Pharaoh:\n They set you hard tasks\n And punishments, slaughtered\n Your sons, and let your women-folk\n Live: therein was\n A tremendous trial from your Lord.\"","title":"The Quran: S\u016bra XIV.: Ibr\u0101h\u012bm, or Abraham.: Section 1 (1-6)","type":"page"}
