Walaqad khalaqna al-insana min salsalin min hama-in masnoonin\n26. We created man from sounding clay,\n From mud moulded into shape;\n27. Waaljanna khalaqnahu min qablu min nari alssamoomi\n27. And the Jinn race, We had\n Created before, from the fire\n Of a scorching wind.\n28. Wa-ith qala rabbuka lilmala-ikati innee khaliqun basharan min salsalin min hama-in masnoonin\n28. Behold! thy Lord said\n To the angels: \"I am about\n To create man, from sounding clay\n From mud moulded into shape;\n29. Fa-itha sawwaytuhu wanafakhtu feehi min roohee faqaAAoo lahu sajideena\n29. \"When I have fashioned him\n (In due proportion) and breathed\n Into him of My spirit,\n Fall ye down in obeisance\n Unto him.\n30. Fasajada almala-ikatu kulluhum ajmaAAoona\n30. So the angels prostrated themselves,\n All of them together:\n31. Illa ibleesa aba an yakoona maAAa alssajideena\n31. Not so Ibl\u012bs: he refused to be\n Among those who prostrated themselves.\n32. Qala ya ibleesu ma laka alla takoona maAAa alssajideena\n32. (God) said: \"O Ibl\u012bs!\n What is your reason\n For not being among those\n Who prostrated themselves?\"\n33. Qala lam akun li-asjuda libasharin khalaqtahu min salsalin min hama-in masnoonin\n33. (Ibl\u012bs) said: \"I am not one\n To prostrate myself to man,\n Whom Thou didst create\n From sounding clay, from mud\n Moulded into shape.\"\n34. Qala faokhruj minha fa-innaka rajeemun\n34. (God) said: \"Then get thee out\n From here; for thou art\n Rejected, accursed.\n35. Wa-inna AAalayka allaAAnata ila yawmi alddeeni\n35. \"And the Curse shall be\n On thee till the Day of Judgment.\"\n36. Qala rabbi faanthirnee ila yawmi yubAAathoona\n36. (Ibl\u012bs) said: \"O my Lord!\n Give me then respite\n Till the Day\n The (dead) are raised.\"\n37. Qala fa-innaka mina almunthareena\n37. (God) said: \"Respite\n Is granted thee\u2014\n38. Ila yawmi alwaqti almaAAloomi\n38. \"Till the Day\n Of the Time Appointed.\"\n39. Qala rabbi bima aghwaytanee laozayyinanna lahum fee al-ardi walaoghwiyannahum ajmaAAeena\n39. (Ibl\u012bs) said: \"O my Lord!\n Because Thou hast put me\n In the wrong, I will\n Make (wrong) fair-seeming\n To them on the earth,\n And I will put them\n All in the wrong,\u2014\n40. Illa AAibadaka minhumu almukhlaseena\n40. \"Except Thy servants among them,\n Sincere and purified\n (By Thy grace).\"\n41. Qala hatha siratun AAalayya mustaqeemun\n41. (God) said: \"This (Way\n Of My sincere servants) is\n Indeed a Way that leads\n Straight to Me.\n42. Inna AAibadee laysa laka AAalayhim sultanun illa mani ittabaAAaka mina alghaweena\n42. \"For over My servants\n No authority shalt thou\n Have, except such as\n Put themselves in the wrong\n And follow thee.\"\n43. Wa-inna jahannama lamawAAiduhum ajmaAAeena\n43. And verily, Hell\n Is the promised abode\n For them all!\n44. Laha sabAAatu abwabin likulli babin minhum juz-on maqsoomun\n44.
