Falamma jaa ala lootin almursaloona\n61. At length when the messengers\n Arrived among the adherents\n Of L\u016bt,\n62. Qala innakum qawmun munkaroona\n62. He said: \"Ye appear\n To be uncommon folk.\"\n63. Qaloo bal ji/naka bima kanoo feehi yamtaroona\n63. They said: \"Yea,\n We have come to thee\n To accomplish that\n Of which they doubt.\n64. Waataynaka bialhaqqi wa-inna lasadiqoona\n64. \"We have brought to thee\n That which is inevitably\n Due, and assuredly\n We tell the truth.\n65. Faasri bi-ahlika biqitAAin mina allayli waittabiAA adbarahum wala yaltafit minkum ahadun waimdoo haythu tu/maroona\n65. \"Then travel by night\n With thy household,\n When a portion of the night\n (Yet remains), and do thou\nBring up the rear:\n Let no one amongst you\n Look back, but pass on\n Whither ye are ordered.\"\n66. Waqadayna ilayhi thalika al-amra anna dabira haola-i maqtooAAun musbiheena\n66. And We made known\n This decree to him,\n That the last remnants\n Of those (sinners) should be\n Cut off by the morning.\n67. Wajaa ahlu almadeenati yastabshiroona\n67. The inhabitants of the City\n Came in (mad) joy\n (At news of the young men).\n68. Qala inna haola-i dayfee fala tafdahooni\n68. L\u016bt said: \"These are\n My guests: disgrace me not:\n69. Waittaqoo Allaha wala tukhzooni\n69. \"But fear God,\n And shame me not.\"\n70. Qaloo awa lam nanhaka AAani alAAalameena\n70. They said: \"Did we not\n Forbid thee (to speak)\n For all and sundry?\"\n71. Qala haola-i banatee in kuntum faAAileena\n71. He said: \"There are\n My daughters (to marry),\n If ye must act (so).\"\n72. LaAAamruka innahum lafee sakratihim yaAAmahoona\n72. Verily, by thy life (O Prophet),\n In their wild intoxication,\nThey wander in distraction,\n To and fro.\n73. Faakhathat-humu alssayhatu mushriqeena\n73. But the (mighty) Blast\n Overtook them before morning;\n74. FajaAAalna AAaliyaha safilaha waamtarna AAalayhim hijaratan min sijjeelin\n74. And We turned (the Cities)\n Upside down, and rained down\n On them brimstones\n Hard as baked clay.\n75. Inna fee thalika laayatin lilmutawassimeena\n75. Behold! in this are Signs\n For those who by tokens\n Do understand.\n76. Wa-innaha labisabeelin muqeemin\n76. And the (Cities were)\n Right on the high-road.\n77. Inna fee thalika laayatan lilmu/mineena\n77. Behold! in this\n Is a Sign\n For those who believe!\n78. Wa-in kana as-habu al-aykati lathalimeena\n78. And the Companions of the Wood\n Were also wrong-doers;\n79. Faintaqamna minhum wa-innahuma labi-imamin mubeenin\n79. So We exacted retribution\n From them.
