Qad makara allatheena min qablihim faata Allahu bunyanahum mina alqawaAAidi fakharra AAalayhimu alssaqfu min fawqihim waatahumu alAAathabu min haythu la yashAAuroona\n26. Those before them did also\n Plot (against God's Way):\n But God took their structures\n From their foundations, and the roof\n Fell down on them from above;\n And the Wrath seized them\n From directions they did not perceive.\n27. Thumma yawma alqiyamati yukhzeehim wayaqoolu ayna shuraka-iya allatheena kuntum tushaqqoona feehim qala allatheena ootoo alAAilma inna alkhizya alyawma waalssoo-a AAala alkafireena\n27. Then, on the Day of Judgment,\n He will cover them\nWith shame, and say:\n \"Where are My \"partners\"\n Concerning whom ye used\n To dispute (with the godly)?\"\n Those endued with knowledge\n Will say: \"This Day, indeed,\n Are the Unbelievers covered\n With Shame and Misery,\u2014\n28. Allatheena tatawaffahumu almala-ikatu thalimee anfusihim faalqawoo alssalama ma kunna naAAmalu min soo-in bala inna Allaha AAaleemun bima kuntum taAAmaloona\n28. \"(Namely) those whose lives the angels\n Take in a state of wrong-doing\n To their own souls.\"\n Then would they offer submission\n (With the pretence), \"We did\n No evil (knowingly).\" (The angels\n Will reply), \"Nay, but verily\n God knoweth all that ye did;\n29. Faodkhuloo abwaba jahannama khalideena feeha falabi/sa mathwa almutakabbireena\n29. \"So enter the gates of Hell,\n To dwell therein.\n Thus evil indeed\n Is the abode of the arrogant.\"\n30. Waqeela lillatheena ittaqaw matha anzala rabbukum qaloo khayran lillatheena ahsanoo fee hathihi alddunya hasanatun waladaru al-akhirati khayrun walaniAAma daru almuttaqeena\n30. To the righteous\n (When) it is said, \"What\n Is it that your Lord\n Has revealed?\" they say,\n \"All that is good.\" To those\n Who do good, there is good\n In this world, and-the Home\n Of the Hereafter is even better\nAnd excellent indeed is the Home\n Of the righteous,\u2014\n31. Jannatu AAadnin yadkhuloonaha tajree min tahtiha al-anharu lahum feeha ma yashaoona kathalika yajzee Allahu almuttaqeena\n31. Gardens of Eternity which they\n Will enter: beneath them\n Flow (pleasant) rivers: they\n Will have therein all\n That they wish: thus doth\n God reward the righteous,\u2014\n32. Allatheena tatawaffahumu almala-ikatu tayyibeena yaqooloona salamun AAalaykumu odkhuloo aljannata bima kuntum taAAmaloona\n32. (Namely) those whose lives\n The angels take in a state\n Of purity, saying (to them),\n \"Peace be on you; enter ye\n The Garden, because of (the good)\n Which ye did (in the world).\"\n33. Hal yanthuroona illa an ta/tiyahumu almala-ikatu aw ya/tiya amru rabbika kathalika faAAala allatheena min qablihim wama thalamahumu Allahu walakin kanoo anfusahum yathlimoona\n33. Do the (ungodly) wait until\n The angels come to them,\n Or there comes the Command\n Of thy Lord (for their doom)?\n So did those who went\n Before them. But God\n Wronged them not: nay,\n They wronged their own souls.\n34. Faasabahum sayyi-atu ma AAamiloo wahaqa bihim ma kanoo bihi yastahzi-oona\n34.
