Waqala allatheena ashrakoo law shaa Allahu ma AAabadna min doonihi min shay-in nahnu wala abaona wala harramna min doonihi min shay-in kathalika faAAala allatheena min qablihim fahal AAala alrrusuli illa albalaghu almubeenu\n35. The worshippers of false gods\n Say: \"If God had so willed,\n We should not have worshipped\n Aught but Him\u2014neither we\nNor our fathers,\u2014nor should\n We have prescribed prohibitions\n Other than His.\" So did those\n Who went before them.\n But what is the mission\n Of apostles but to preach\n The Clear Message?\n36. Walaqad baAAathna fee kulli ommatin rasoolan ani oAAbudoo Allaha waijtaniboo alttaghoota faminhum man hada Allahu waminhum man haqqat AAalayhi alddalalatu faseeroo fee al-ardi faonthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu almukaththibeena\n36. For We assuredly sent\n Amongst every People an apostle,\n (With the Command), \"Serve\n God, and eschew Evil\":\n Of the people were some whom\n God guided, and some\n On whom Error became\n Inevitably (established). So travel\n Through the earth, and see\n What was the end of those\n Who denied (the Truth).\n37. In tahris AAala hudahum fa-inna Allaha la yahdee man yudillu wama lahum min nasireena\n37. If thou art anxious\n For their guidance, yet\n God guideth not such\n As He leaves to stray,\n And there is none\n To help them.\n38. Waaqsamoo biAllahi jahda aymanihim la yabAAathu Allahu man yamootu bala waAAdan AAalayhi haqqan walakinna akthara alnnasi la yaAAlamoona\n38. They swear their strongest oaths\n By God, that God will not\nRaise up those who die\n Nay, but it is a promise\n (Binding) on Him in truth:\n But most among mankind\n Realise it not.\n39. Liyubayyina lahumu allathee yakhtalifoona feehi waliyaAAlama allatheena kafaroo annahum kanoo kathibeena\n39. (They must be raised up),\n In order that He may manifest\n To them the truth of that\n Wherein they differ, and that\n The rejecters of Truth\n May realise that they had\n Indeed (surrendered to)\n Falsehood.\n40. Innama qawluna lishay-in itha aradnahu an naqoola lahu kun fayakoonu\n40.
