Wala taqtuloo awladakum khashyata imlaqin nahnu narzuquhum wa-iyyakum inna qatlahum kana khit-an kabeeran\n31. Kill not your children\n For fear of want: We shall\n Provide sustenance for them\n As well as for you.\n Verily the killing of them\n Is a great sin.\n32. Wala taqraboo alzzina innahu kana fahishatan wasaa sabeelan\n32. Nor come nigh to adultery:\n For it is a shameful (deed)\n And an evil, opening the road\n (To other evils).\n33. Wala taqtuloo alnnafsa allatee harrama Allahu illa bialhaqqi waman qutila mathlooman faqad jaAAalna liwaliyyihi sultanan fala yusrif fee alqatli innahu kana mansooran\n33. Nor take life\u2014which God\n Has made sacred\u2014except\n For just cause. And if\n Anyone is slain wrongfully,\n We have given his heir\n Authority (to demand Qi\u1e63\u0101\u1e63\n Or to forgive): but let him\n Not exceed bounds in the matter\n Of taking life; for he\n Is helped (by the Law).\n34. Wala taqraboo mala alyateemi illa biallatee hiya ahsanu hatta yablugha ashuddahu waawfoo bialAAahdi inna alAAahda kana mas-oolan\n34. Come not nigh\n To the orphan's property\n Except to improve it,\nUntil he attains the age\n Of full strength; and fulfil\n (Every) engagement,\n For (every) engagement\n Will be enquired into\n (On the Day of Reckoning).\n35. Waawfoo alkayla itha kiltum wazinoo bialqistasi almustaqeemi thalika khayrun waahsanu ta/weelan\n35. Give full measure when ye\n Measure, and weigh\n With a balance that is straight:\n That is the most fitting\n And the most advantageous\n In the final determination:\n36. Wala taqfu ma laysa laka bihi AAilmun inna alssamAAa waalbasara waalfu-ada kullu ola-ika kana AAanhu mas-oolan\n36. And pursue not that\n Of which thou hast\n No knowledge; for\n Every act of hearing,\n Or of seeing\n Or of (feeling in) the heart\n Will be enquired into\n (On the Day of Reckoning).\n37. Wala tamshi fee al-ardi marahan innaka lan takhriqa al-arda walan tablugha aljibala toolan\n37. Nor walk on the earth\n With insolence: for thou\nCanst not rend the earth\n Asunder, nor reach\n The mountains in height.\n38. Kullu thalika kana sayyi-ohu AAinda rabbika makroohan\n38. Of all such things\n The evil is hateful\n In the sight of thy Lord.\n39. Thalika mimma awha ilayka rabbuka mina alhikmati wala tajAAal maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara fatulqa fee jahannama malooman madhooran\n39. These are among the (precepts\n Of) wisdom, which thy Lord\n Has revealed to thee.\n Take not, with God,\n Another object of worship,\n Lest thou shouldst be thrown\n Into Hell, blameworthy and rejected.\n40. Afaasfakum rabbukum bialbaneena waittakhatha mina almala-ikati inathan innakum lataqooloona qawlan AAatheeman\n40.
