Walaqad sarrafna fee hatha alqur-ani liyaththakkaroo wama yazeeduhum illa nufooran\n41. We have explained (things)\n In various (ways) in this Qur-\u0101n,\n In order that they may receive\n Admonition, but it only increases\n Their flight (from the Truth)!\n42. Qul law kana maAAahu alihatun kama yaqooloona ithan laibtaghaw ila thee alAAarshi sabeelan\n42. Say: if there had been\n (Other) gods with Him,\u2014\n As they say,\u2014behold,\n They would certainly have\n Sought out a way\n To the Lord of the Throne!\n43. Subhanahu wataAAala AAamma yaqooloona AAuluwwan kabeeran\n43. Glory to Him! He is high\n Above all that they say!\u2014\n Exalted and Great (beyond measure)!\n44. Tusabbihu lahu alssamawatu alssabAAu waal-ardu waman feehinna wa-in min shay-in illa yusabbihu bihamdihi walakin la tafqahoona tasbeehahum innahu kana haleeman ghafooran\n44. The seven heavens and the earth,\n And all beings therein,\n Declare His glory:\n There is not a thing\n But celebrates His praise;\n And yet ye understand not\n How they declare His glory!\n Verily He is Oft-Forbearing,\n Most Forgiving!\n45. Wa-itha qara/ta alqur-ana jaAAalna baynaka wabayna allatheena la yu/minoona bial-akhirati hijaban mastooran\n45. When thou dost recite\n The Qur-\u0101n, We put,\nBetween thee and those who\n Believe not to the Hereafter,\n A veil invisible:\n46. WajaAAalna AAala quloobihim akinnatan an yafqahoohu wafee athanihim waqran wa-itha thakarta rabbaka fee alqur-ani wahdahu wallaw AAala adbarihim nufooran\n46. And We put coverings\n Over their hearts (and minds)\n Lest they should understand\n The Our-\u0101n, and deafness\n Into their ears: when thou\n Dost commemorate thy Lord\u2014\n And Him alone\u2014in the Qur-\u0101n,\n They turn on their backs,\n Fleeing (from the Truth).\n47. Nahnu aAAlamu bima yastamiAAoona bihi ith yastamiAAoona ilayka wa-ith hum najwa ith yaqoolu alththalimoona in tattabiAAoona illa rajulan mashooran\n47. We know best why it is\n They listen, when they listen\n To thee; and when they\n Meet in private conference,\n Behold, the wicked say,\n \"Ye follow none other than\n A man bewitched!\"\n48. Onthur kayfa daraboo laka al-amthala fadalloo fala yastateeAAoona sabeelan\n48. See what similes they strike\n For thee: but they have gone\n Astray, and never can they\n Find a way.\n49. Waqaloo a-itha kunna AAithaman warufatan a-inna lamabAAoothoona khalqan jadeedan\n49. They say: \"What!\n When we are reduced\nTo bones and dust,\n Should we really be raised up\n (To be) a new creation?\n50. Qul koonoo hijaratan aw hadeedan\n50. Say: \"(Nay!) be ye\n Stones or iron,\n51. Aw khalqan mimma yakburu fee sudoorikum fasayaqooloona man yuAAeeduna quli allathee fatarakum awwala marratin fasayunghidoona ilayka ruoosahum wayaqooloona mata huwa qul AAasa an yakoona qareeban\n51. \"Or created matter\n Which, in your minds,\n Is hardest (to be raised up),\n (Yet shall ye be raised up)!\"\n Then will they say:\n \"Who will cause us\n To return?\" Say: \"He\n Who created you first!\"\n Then will they wag\n Their heads towards thee,\n And say, \"When will\n That be?\" Say, \"May be\n It will be quite soon!\n52.
