Walaqad qala lahum haroonu min qablu ya qawmi innama futintum bihi wa-inna rabbakumu alrrahmanu faittabiAAoonee waateeAAoo amree\n90. Aaron had already, before this\n Said to them: .\"O my people!\n Ye are being tested in this:\n For verily your Lord is (God)\n Most Gracious: so follow me\n And obey my command.\"\n91. Qaloo lan nabraha AAalayhi AAakifeena hatta yarjiAAa ilayna moosa\n91. They had said: \"We will not\n Abandon this cult, but we\n Will devote ourselves to it\n Until Moses returns to us.\n92. Qala ya haroonu ma manaAAaka ith raaytahum dalloo\n92. (Moses) said: \"O Aaron!\n What kept thee back, when\n Thou sawest them going wrong,\n93. Alla tattabiAAani afaAAasayta amree\n93. \"From following me? Didst thou\n Then disobey my order?\"\n94. Qala yabnaomma la ta/khuth bilihyatee wala bira/see innee khasheetu an taqoola farraqta bayna banee isra-eela walam tarqub qawlee\n94. (Aaron) replied: \"O son\n Of my mother! Seize (me) not\n By my beard nor by\n (The hair of) my head!\n Truly I feared lest thou\n Shouldst say, \"Thou hast caused\n A division among the Children\n Of Israel, and thou didst not\n Respect my word!\"\n95. Qala fama khatbuka ya samiriyyu\n95. (Moses) said: \"What then\n Is thy case, O S\u0101mar\u012b?\"\n96. Qala basurtu bima lam yabsuroo bihi faqabadtu qabdatan min athari alrrasooli fanabathtuha wakathalika sawwalat lee nafsee\n96. He replied: \"I saw what\n They saw not: so I took\nA handful (of dust) from\n The footprint of the Apostle,\n And threw it (into the calf):\n Thus did my soul suggest\n To me.\"\n97. Qala faithhab fa-inna laka fee alhayati an taqoola la misasa wa-inna laka mawAAidan lan tukhlafahu waonthur ila ilahika allathee thalta AAalayhi AAakifan lanuharriqannahu thumma lanansifannahu fee alyammi nasfan\n97. (Moses) said: \"Get thee gone!\n But thy (punishment) in this life\n Will be that thou wilt say,\n 'Touch me not'; and moreover\n (For a future penalty) thou hast\n A promise that will not fail:\n Now look at thy god,\n Of whom thou hast become\n A devoted worshipper:\n We will certainly (melt) it\n In a blazing fire and scatter\n It broadcast in the sea!\"\n98. Innama ilahukumu Allahu allathee la ilaha illa huwa wasiAAa kulla shay-in AAilman\n98. But the God of you all\n Is the One God: there is\n No god but He: all things\n He comprehends in His knowledge.\n99. Kathalika naqussu AAalayka min anba-i ma qad sabaqa waqad ataynaka min ladunna thikran\n99. Thus do We relate to thee\n Some stories of what happened\n Before: for We have sent\n Thee a Message from\n Our own Presence,\n100. Man aAArada AAanhu fa-innahu yahmilu yawma alqiyamati wizran\n100. If any do turn away\n Therefrom, verily they will\n Bear a burden\n On the Day of Judgment;\n101. Khalideena feehi wasaa lahum yawma alqiyamati himlan\n101. They will abide in this (state):\n And grievous will the burden\n Be to them on that Day,\u2014\n102. Yawma yunfakhu fee alssoori wanahshuru almujrimeena yawma-ithin zurqan\n102. The Day when the Trumpet\n Will be sounded: that Day,\n We shall gather the sinful,\n Blear-eyed (with terror).\n103. Yatakhafatoona baynahum in labithtum illa AAashran\n103. In whispers will they consult\n Each other: \"Ye tarried not\n Longer than ten (Days);\"\n104. Nahnu aAAlamu bima yaqooloona ith yaqoolu amthaluhum tareeqatan in labithtum illa yawman\n104.
