Wakam qasamna min qaryatin kanat thalimatan waansha/na baAAdaha qawman akhareena\n11. How many were the populations\n We utterly destroyed because\n Of their iniquities, setting up\n In their places other peoples?\n12. Falamma ahassoo ba/sana itha hum minha yarkudoona\n12. Yet, when they felt\n Our Punishment (coming),\n Behold, they (tried to) flee\n From it.\n13. La tarkudoo wairjiAAoo ila ma otriftum feehi wamasakinikum laAAallakum tus-aloona\n13. Flee not, but return to\n The good things of this life\n Which were given you,\n And to your homes,\n In order that ye may\n Be called to account\n14. Qaloo ya waylana inna kunna thalimeena\n14. They said: \"Ah! woe to us!\n We were indeed wrong-doers!\"\n15. Fama zalat tilka daAAwahum hatta jaAAalnahum haseedan khamideena\n15. Not an apostle did We\n Send before thee without\n This inspiration sent by Us\n To him: that there is\n No god but I; therefore\n Worship and serve Me.\n26.
