Alam tara ila rabbika kayfa madda alththilla walaw shaa lajaAAalahu sakinan thumma jaAAalna alshshamsa AAalayhi daleelan\n45. Hast thou not turned\n Thy vision to thy Lord?\u2014\n How He doth prolong\n The Shadow! If He willed,\n He could make it stationary!\n Then do We make\n The sun its guide;\n46. Thumma qabadnahu ilayna qabdan yaseeran\n46. Then We draw it in\n Towards Ourselves,\n A contraction by easy stages.\n47. Wahuwa allathee jaAAala lakumu allayla libasan waalnnawma subatan wajaAAala alnnahara nushooran\n47. And He it is Who makes\n The Night as a Robe\n For you, and Sleep as Repose,\n And makes the Day\n (As it were) a Resurrection.\n48. Wahuwa allathee arsala alrriyaha bushran bayna yaday rahmatihi waanzalna mina alssama-i maan tahooran\n48. And He it is Who sends\n The Winds as heralds\n Of glad tidings, going before\n His Mercy, and We send down\nPure water from the sky,\u2014\n49. Linuhyiya bihi baldatan maytan wanusqiyahu mimma khalaqna anAAaman waanasiyya katheeran\n49. That with it We may give\n Life to a dead land,\n And slake the thirst\n Of things We have created,\u2014\n Cattle and men in great numbers.\n50. Walaqad sarrafnahu baynahum liyaththakkaroo faaba aktharu alnnasi illa kufooran\n50. And We have distributed\n The (water) amongst them, in order\n That they may celebrate\n (Our) praises, but most men\n Are averse (to aught) but\n (Rank) ingratitude.\n51. Walaw shi/na labaAAathna fee kulli qaryatin natheeran\n51. Had it been Our Will,\n We could have sent\n A warner to every centre\n Of population.\n52. Fala tutiAAi alkafireena wajahidhum bihi jihadan kabeeran\n52. Therefore listen not\n To the Unbelievers, but strive\nAgainst them with the utmost\n Strenuousness, with the (Qur-\u0101n).\n53. Wahuwa allathee maraja albahrayni hatha AAathbun furatun wahatha milhun ojajun wajaAAala baynahuma barzakhan wahijran mahjooran\n53. It is He Who has\n Let free the two bodies\n Of flowing water:\n One palatable and sweet,\n And the other salt\n And hitter; yet has He\n Made a barrier between them,\n A partition that is forbidden\n To be passed.\n54. Wahuwa allathee khalaqa mina alma-i basharan fajaAAalahu nasaban wasihran wakana rabbuka qadeeran\n54. It is He Who has\n Created man from water:\n Then has He established\n Relationships of lineage\nAnd marriage: for thy Lord\n Has power (over all things).\n55. WayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi ma la yanfaAAuhum wala yadurruhum wakana alkafiru AAala rabbihi thaheeran\n55. Yet do they worship,\n Besides God, things that can\n Neither profit them nor\n Harm them: and the Misbeliever\n Is a helper (of Evil),\n Against his own Lord!\n56. Wama arsalnaka illa mubashshiran wanatheeran\n56. But thee We only sent\n To give glad tidings\n And admonition.\n57. Qul ma as-alukum AAalayhi min ajrin illa man shaa an yattakhitha ila rabbihi sabeelan\n57. Say: \"No reward do I\n Ask of you for it but this:\n That each one who will\n May take a (straight) Path\n To his Lord.\"\n58. Watawakkal AAala alhayyi allathee la yamootu wasabbih bihamdihi wakafa bihi bithunoobi AAibadihi khabeeran\n58. And put thy trust\n In Him Who lives\n And dies not; and celebrate\n His praise; and enough is He\n To be acquainted with\n The faults of His servants;\u2014\n59. Allathee khalaqa alssamawati waal-arda wama baynahuma fee sittati ayyamin thumma istawa AAala alAAarshi alrrahmanu fais-al bihi khabeeran\n59. He Who created the heavens\n And the earth and all\n That is between, in six days,\n And is firmly established\n On the Throne (of authority):\n God Most Gracious:\n Ask thou, then, about Him\n Of any acquainted (with such things).\n60. Wa-itha qeela lahumu osjudoo lilrrahmani qaloo wama alrrahmanu anasjudu lima ta/muruna wazadahum nufooran\n60. When it is said to them,\n \"Adore ye (God) Most Gracious!\",\n They say, \"And what is (God)\n Most Gracious?
