Wa-innahu latanzeelu rabbi alAAalameena\n192. Verily this is a Revelation\n From the Lord of the Worlds:\n193. Nazala bihi alrroohu al-ameenu\n193. With it came down\n The Spirit of Faith and Truth\u2014\n194. AAala qalbika litakoona mina almunthireena\n194. To thy heart and mind,\n That thou mayest admonish\n195. Bilisanin AAarabiyyin mubeenin\n195. In the perspicuous\n Arabic tongue.\n196. Wa-innahu lafee zuburi al-awwaleena\n196. Without doubt it is (announced)\n In the mystic Book\n Of former peoples.\n197. Awa lam yakun lahum ayatan an yaAAlamahu AAulamao banee isra-eela\n197. Is it not a Sign\n To them that the Learned\n Of the Children of Israel\n Knew it (as true)?\n198. Walaw nazzalnahu AAala baAAdi al-aAAjameena\n198. Had We revealed it\n To any of the non Arabs,\n199. Faqaraahu AAalayhim ma kanoo bihi mu/mineena\n199. And had he recited it\n To them, they would not\n Have believed in it.\n200. Kathalika salaknahu fee quloobi almujrimeena\n200. Thus have We caused it\n To enter the hearts\n Of the Sinners.\n201. La yu/minoona bihi hatta yarawoo alAAathaba al-aleema\n201. They will not believe\n In it until they see\n The grievous Penalty;\n202. Faya/tiyahum baghtatan wahum la yashAAuroona\n202. But the (Penalty) will come\n To them of a sudden,\n While they preceive it not;\n203. Fayaqooloo hal nahnu muntharoona\n203. Then they will say:\n \"Shall we be respited?\"\n204. AfabiAAathabina yastaAAjiloona\n204. Do they then ask\n For Our Penalty to be\n Hastened on?\n205. Afaraayta in mattaAAnahum sineena\n205. Seest thou? If We do\n Let them enjoy (this life)\n For a few years,\n206. Thumma jaahum ma kanoo yooAAadoona\n206. Yet there comes to them\n At length the (Punishment)\n Which they were promised!\n207. Ma aghna AAanhum ma kanoo yumattaAAoona\n207. It will profit them not\n That they enjoyed (this life)!\n208. Wama ahlakna min qaryatin illa laha munthiroona\n208. Never did We destroy\n A population, but had\n Its warners\u2014\n209. Thikra wama kunna thalimeena\n209. By way of reminder;\n And We never are unjust.\n210. Wama tanazzalat bihi alshshayateenu\n210. No evil ones have brought\n Down this (Revelation):\n211. Wama yanbaghee lahum wama yastateeAAoona\n211. It would neither suit them\n Nor would they be able\n (To produce it).\n212. Innahum AAani alssamAAi lamaAAzooloona\n212. Indeed they have been removed\n Far from even (a chance of)\n Hearing it.\n213. Fala tadAAu maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara fatakoona mina almuAAaththabeena\n213. So call not on any\n Other god with God,\n Or thou wilt be among\n Those under the Penalty.\n214. Waanthir AAasheerataka al-aqrabeena\n214. And admonish thy nearest\n Kinsmen,\n215. Waikhfid janahaka limani ittabaAAaka mina almu/mineena\n215. And lower thy wing\n To the Believers who\n Follow thee.\n216. Fa-in AAasawka faqul innee baree-on mimma taAAmaloona\n216. Then if they disobey thee,\n Say: \"I am free (of responsibility)\n For what ye do!\"\n217. Watawakkal AAala alAAazeezi alrraheemi\n217. And put thy trust\n On the Exalted in Might,\n The Merciful,\u2014\n218. Allathee yaraka heena taqoomu\n218. Who seeth thee standing\n Forth (in prayer),\n219. Wataqallubaka fee alssajideena\n219. And thy movements among\n Those who prostrate themselves.\n220. Innahu huwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu\n220. For it is He\n Who heareth and knoweth\n All things.\n221. Hal onabbi-okum AAala man tanazzalu alshshayateenu\n221. Shall I inform you.\n (O people!), on whom it is\n That the evil ones descend?\n222. Tanazzalu AAala kulli affakin atheemin\n222. They descend on every\n Lying, wicked person,\n223. Yulqoona alssamAAa waaktharuhum kathiboona\n223. (Into whose ears) they pour\n Hearsay vanities, and most\n Of them are liars.\n224. WaalshshuAAarao yattabiAAuhumu alghawoona\n224. And the Poets,\u2014\n It is those straying in Evil,\n Who follow them:\n225. Alam tara annahum fee kulli wadin yaheemoona\n225. Seest thou not that they\n Wander distracted in every\n Valley?\u2014\n226. Waannahum yaqooloona ma la yafAAaloona\n226. And that they say\n What they practise not?\u2014\n227. Illa allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati wathakaroo Allaha katheeran waintasaroo min baAAdi ma thulimoo wasayaAAlamu allatheena thalamoo ayya munqalabin yanqaliboona\n227. Except those who believe,\n Work righteousness, engage much\nIn the remembrance of God,\n And defend themselves only after\n They are unjustly attacked.\n And soon will the unjust'\n Assailants know what vicissitudes\n Their affairs will take!","title":"The Quran: S\u016bra XXVI.: Shu\u2018ar\u0101a, or The Poets.: Section 11 (192-227)","type":"page"}
