Falamma qada moosa al-ajala wasara bi-ahlihi anasa min janibi alttoori naran qala li-ahlihi omkuthoo innee anastu naran laAAallee ateekum minha bikhabarin aw jathwatin mina alnnari laAAallakum tastaloona\n29. Now when Moses had fulfilled\n The term, and was travelling\n With his family, he perceived\n A fire in the direction\n Of Mount \u1e6c\u016br. He said\n To his family: \"Tarry ye;\n I perceive a fire; I hope\n To bring you from there\n Some information, or a burning\n Firebrand, that ye may\n Warm yourselves.\"\n30. Falamma ataha noodiya min shati-i alwadi al-aymani fee albuqAAati almubarakati mina alshshajarati an ya moosa innee ana Allahu rabbu alAAalameena\n30. But when he came\n To the (Fire), a voice\nWas heard from the right bank\n Of the valley, from a tree\n In hallowed ground:\n \"O Moses! Verily\n I am God, the Lord\n Of the Worlds\u2026\n31. Waan alqi AAasaka falamma raaha tahtazzu kaannaha jannun walla mudbiran walam yuAAaqqib ya moosa aqbil wala takhaf innaka mina al-amineena\n31. \"Now do thou throw thy rod!\"\n But when he saw it\n Moving (of its own accord)\n As if it had been a snake,\n He turned back in retreat,\n And retraced not his steps:\n \"O Moses!\" (it was said),\n \"Draw near, and fear not:\n For thou art of those\n Who are secure.\n32. Osluk yadaka fee jaybika takhruj baydaa min ghayri soo-in waodmum ilayka janahaka mina alrrahbi fathanika burhanani min rabbika ila firAAawna wamala-ihi innahum kanoo qawman fasiqeena\n32. \"Move thy hand into\n Thy bosom, and it will\n Come forth white without stain\n (Or harm), and draw thy hand\n Close to thy side\n (To guard) against fear.\n Those are the two credentials\n From thy Lord to Pharaoh\n And his Chiefs: for truly\n They are a people\n Rebellious and wicked.\"\n33. Qala rabbi innee qataltu minhum nafsan faakhafu an yaqtulooni\n33. He said: \"O my Lord!\n I have slain a man\nAmong them, and I fear\n Lest they slay me.\n34. Waakhee haroonu huwa afsahu minnee lisanan faarsilhu maAAiya rid-an yusaddiqunee innee akhafu an yukaththibooni\n34. \"And my brother Aaron\u2014\n He is more eloquent in speech\n Than I: so send him\n With me as a helper,\n To confirm (and strengthen) me:\n For I fear that they may\n Accuse me of falsehood.\"\n35. Qala sanashuddu AAadudaka bi-akheeka wanajAAalu lakuma sultanan fala yasiloona ilaykuma bi-ayatina antuma wamani ittabaAAakuma alghaliboona\n35. He said: \"We will certainly\n Strengthen thy arm through\n Thy brother, and invest you both\n With authority, so they\n Shall not be able to\n Touch you: with Our Signs\n Shall ye triumph,\u2014you two\n As well as those\n Who follow you.\"\n36. Falamma jaahum moosa bi-ayatina bayyinatin qaloo ma hatha illa sihrun muftaran wama samiAAna bihatha fee aba-ina al-awwaleena\n36. When Moses came to them\n With Our Clear Signs, they said:\n \"This is nothing but sorcery\n Faked up: never did we\n Hear the like among our fathers\n Of old!\"\n37. Waqala moosa rabbee aAAlamu biman jaa bialhuda min AAindihi waman takoonu lahu AAaqibatu alddari innahu la yuflihu alththalimoona\n37. Moses said: \"My Lord\n Knows best who it is\n That comes with guidance\n From Him and whose End\n Will be best in the Hereafter:\n Certain it is that\n The wrong-doers will not prosper.\"\n38. Waqala firAAawnu ya ayyuha almalao ma AAalimtu lakum min ilahin ghayree faawqid lee ya hamanu AAala altteeni faijAAal lee sarhan laAAallee attaliAAu ila ilahi moosa wa-innee laathunnuhu mina alkathibeena\n38. Pharaoh said: \"O Chiefs!\n No god do I know for you\n But myself: therefore,\n O Haman! light me a (kiln\n To bake bricks) out of clay,\n And build me a lofty\n Palace, that I may mount up\n To the god of Moses:\n But as far as I am concerned,\n I think (Moses) is a liar!\"\n39. Waistakbara huwa wajunooduhu fee al-ardi bighayri alhaqqi wathannoo annahum ilayna la yurjaAAoona\n39. And he was arrogant and insolent\n In the land, beyond reason,\u2014\n He and his hosts: they thought\n That they would not have\n To return to Us!\"\n40. Faakhathnahu wajunoodahu fanabathnahum fee alyammi faonthur kayfa kana AAaqibatu alththalimeena\n40. So We seized him\n And his hosts, and We\n Flung them into the sea:\n Now behold what was the End\n Of those who did wrong!\n41. WajaAAalnahum a-immatan yadAAoona ila alnnari wayawma alqiyamati la yunsaroona\n41. And We made them (but)\n Leaders inviting to the Fire;\n And on the Day of Judgment\n No help shall they find.\n42. WaatbaAAnahum fee hathihi alddunya laAAnatan wayawma alqiyamati hum mina almaqbooheena\n42.
