For they said: \"What!\n A man! a solitary one\nFrom among ourselves!\n Shall we follow such a one?\n Truly should we then be\n Straying in mind, and mad!\n25. Aolqiya alththikru AAalayhi min baynina bal huwa kaththabun ashirun\n25. \"Is it that the Message\n Is sent to him,\n Of all people amongst us?\n Nay, he is a liar,\n An insolent one!\"\n26. SayaAAlamoona ghadan mani alkaththabu al-ashiru\n26. Ah! they will know\n On the morrow, which is\n The liar, the insolent one!\n27. Inna mursiloo alnnaqati fitnatan lahum fairtaqibhum waistabir\n27. For We will send\n The she-camel\n By way of trial for them.\n So watch them, (O \u1e62\u0101li\u1e25),\n And possess thyself in patience!\n28. Wanabbi/hum anna almaa qismatun baynahum kullu shirbin muhtadarun\n28. And tell them that\n The water is to be\n Divided between them:\n Each one's right to drink\n Being brought forward\n (By suitable turns).\n29. Fanadaw sahibahum fataAAata faAAaqara\n29. But they called\n To their companion,\n And he took a sword\n In hand, and hamstrung (her).\n30. Fakayfa kana AAathabee wanuthuri\n30. Ah! how (terrible) was\n My Penalty and My Warning!\n31. Inna arsalna AAalayhim sayhatan wahidatan fakanoo kahasheemi almuhtathiri\n31. For We sent against them\n A single Mighty Blast,\n And they became\n Like the dry stubble used\n By one who pens cattle.\n32. Walaqad yassarna alqur-ana lilththikri fahal min muddakirin\n32. And we have indeed\n Made the Qur-\u0101n easy\n To understand and remember:\n Then is there any that\n Will receive admonition?\n33. Kaththabat qawmu lootin bialnnuthuri\n33. The People of L\u016b\u1e6d\n Rejected (his) Warning.\n34. Inna arsalna AAalayhim hasiban illa ala lootin najjaynahum bisaharin\n34. We sent against them\n A violent tornado\n With showers of stones,\n (Which destroyed them), except\n L\u016b\u1e6d's household: them We\n Delivered by early Dawn,\u2014\n35. NiAAmatan min AAindina kathalika najzee man shakara\n35. As a Grace from Us:\n Thus do We reward\n Those who give thanks.\n36. Walaqad antharahum batshatana fatamaraw bialnnuthuri\n36. And (L\u016b\u1e6d) did warn them\n Of Our Punishment, but\n They disputed about the Warning.\n37. Walaqad rawadoohu AAan dayfihi fatamasna aAAyunahum fathooqoo AAathabee wanuthuri\n37. And they even sought\n To snatch away his guests\n From him, but We blinded\n Their eyes. (They heard:)\n \"Now taste ye My Wrath\n And My Warning.\"\n38. Walaqad sabbahahum bukratan AAathabun mustaqirrun\n38. Early on the morrow\n An abiding Punishment\n Seized them:\n39. Fathooqoo AAathabee wanuthuri\n39. \"So taste ye My Wrath\n And My Warning.\"\n40. Walaqad yassarna alqur-ana lilththikri fahal min muddakirin\n40.
