When the Event Inevitable\n Cometh to pass,\n2. Laysa liwaqAAatiha kathibatun\n2. Then will no (soul)\n Entertain falsehood\n Concerning its coming.\n3. (Many) will it bring low;\n (Many) will it exalt;\n4. Itha rujjati al-ardu rajjan\n4. When the earth shall be\n Shaken to its depths,\n5. And the mountains shall\n Be crumbled to atoms,\n6. Becoming dust scattered abroad,\n7. Wakuntum azwajan thalathatan\n7. And ye shall be sorted out\n Into three classes.\n8. Faas-habu almaymanati ma as-habu almaymanati\n8. Then (there will be)\n The Companions of\n The Right Hand;\u2014\n What will be\n The Companions of\n The Right Hand?\n9. Waas-habu almash-amati ma as-habu almash-amati\n9. And the Companions of\n The Left Hand,\u2014\n What will be\n The Companions of\n The Left Hand?\n10. Waalssabiqoona alssabiqoona\n10. And those Foremost\n (In Faith) will be\n Foremost (in the Hereafter).\n11. These will be\n Those Nearest to God:\n12. In Gardens of Bliss:\n13. Thullatun mina al-awwaleena\n13. A number of people\n From those of old,\n14. Waqaleelun mina al-akhireena\n14. And a few from those\n Of later times.\n15. (They will be) on Thrones\n Encrusted (with gold\n And precious stones),\n16. Muttaki-eena AAalayha mutaqabileena\n16. Reclining on them,\n Facing each other.\n17. Yatoofu AAalayhim wildanun mukhalladoona\n17. Round about them will (serve)\n Youths of perpetual (freshness),\n18. Bi-akwabin waabareeqa waka/sin min maAAeenin\n18. With goblets, (shining) beakers,\n And cups (filled) out of\n Clear-flowing fountains:\n19. La yusaddaAAoona AAanha wala yunzifoona\n19. No after-ache will they\n Receive therefrom, nor will they\n Suffer intoxication:\n20. Wafakihatin mimma yatakhayyaroona\n20. And with fruits,\n Any that they may select;\n21. Walahmi tayrin mimma yashtahoona\n21. And the flesh of fowls,\n Any that they may desire.\n22. And (there will be) Companions\n With beautiful, big,\n And lustrous eyes,\u2014\n23. Kaamthali allu/lui almaknooni\n23. Like unto Pearls\n Well-guarded.\n24. Jazaan bima kanoo yaAAmaloona\n24. A Reward for the Deeds\n Of their past (Life).\n25. La yasmaAAoona feeha laghwan wala ta/theeman\n25. No frivolity will they\n Hear therein, nor any\n Taint of ill,\u2014\n26. Illa qeelan salaman salaman\n26. Only the saying,\n \"Peace! Peace\".\n27. Waas-habu alyameeni ma as-habu alyameeni\n27. The Companions of\n The Right Hand,\u2014\n What will be\n The Companions of\n The Right Hand?\n28. (They will be) among\n Lote-trees without thorns,\n29. Among \u1e6cal\u1e25 trees\n With flowers (or fruits)\n Piled one above another,\u2014\n30. In shade long-extended,\n31. By water flowing constantly,\n32. And fruit in abundance.\n33. La maqtooAAatin wala mamnooAAatin\n33. Whose season is not limited,\n Nor (supply) forbidden,\n34. And on Thrones (of Dignity),\n Raised high.\n35. Inna ansha/nahunna inshaan\n35. We have created\n (their Companions)\n Of special creation.\n36. And made them\n Virgin-pure (and undefiled),\u2014\n37. Beloved (by nature),\n Equal in age,\u2014\n38.
