Inna arsalna noohan ila qawmihi an anthir qawmaka min qabli an ya/tiyahum AAathabun aleemun\n1. We sent Noah\n To his People\n (With the Command):\n \"Do thou warn thy People\n Before there comes to them\n A grievous Penalty.\"\n2. Qala ya qawmi innee lakum natheerun mubeenun\n2. He said: \"O my People!\n I am to you\n A Warner, clear and open:\n3. Ani oAAbudoo Allaha waittaqoohu waateeAAooni\n3. \"That ye should worship\n God, fear Him,\n And obey me:\n4. Yaghfir lakum min thunoobikum wayu-akhkhirkum ila ajalin musamman inna ajala Allahi itha jaa la yu-akhkharu law kuntum taAAlamoona\n4. \"So He may forgive you\n Your sins and give you\n Respite for a stated Term:\n For when the Term given\n By God is accomplished,\n It cannot be put forward:\n If ye only knew.\"\n5. Qala rabbi innee daAAawtu qawmee laylan wanaharan\n5. He, said: \"O my Lord!\n I have called to my People\n Night and day:\n6. Falam yazidhum duAAa-ee illa firaran\n6. \"But my call only\n Increases (their) flight\n (From the Right).\n7. Wa-innee kullama daAAawtuhum litaghfira lahum jaAAaloo asabiAAahum fee athanihim waistaghshaw thiyabahum waasarroo waistakbaroo istikbaran\n7. \"And every time I have\n Called to them, that Thou\n Mightest forgive them,\n They have (only) thrust\n Their fingers into their ears,\n Covered themselves up with\n Their garments, grown obstinate,\n And given themselves up\n To arrogance.\n8. Thumma innee daAAawtuhum jiharan\n8. \"So I have called to them\n Aloud;\n9. Thumma innee aAAlantu lahum waasrartu lahum israran\n9. \"Further I have spoken\n To them in public\n And secretly in private,\n10. Faqultu istaghfiroo rabbakum innahu kana ghaffaran\n10. \"Saying, \"Ask forgiveness\n From your Lord;\n For He is Oft-Forgiving;\n11. Yursili alssamaa AAalaykum midraran\n11. \"He will send rain\n To you in abundance;\n12. Wayumdidkum bi-amwalin wabaneena wayajAAal lakum jannatin wayajAAal lakum anharan\n12. Give you increase\n In wealth and sons;\n And bestow on you\n Gardens and bestow on you\n Rivers (of flowing water).\n13. Ma lakum la tarjoona lillahi waqaran\n13. \"What is the matter\n With you, that ye\n Place not your hope\n For kindness and long-suffering\n In God,\u2014\n14. \"Seeing that it is He\n That has created you\n In diverse stages?\n15. Alam taraw kayfa khalaqa Allahu sabAAa samawatin tibaqan\n15. \"See ye not\n How God has created\n The seven heavens\n One above another,\n16. WajaAAala alqamara feehinna nooran wajaAAala alshshamsa sirajan\n16. \"And made the moon\n A light in their midst,\n And made the sun\n As a (Glorious) Lamp?\n17. WaAllahu anbatakum mina al-ardi nabatan\n17. \"And God has produced\n You from the earth,\n Growing (gradually),\n18. Thumma yuAAeedukum feeha wayukhrijukum ikhrajan\n18. \"And in the End\n He will return you\n Into the (earth),\n And raise you forth\n (Again at the Resurrection)?\n19. WaAllahu jaAAala lakumu al-arda bisatan\n19. \"And God has made\n The earth for you\n As a carpet (spread out),\n20.
