La oqsimu biyawmi alqiyamati\n1. I do call to witness\n The Resurrection Day;\n2. Wala oqsimu bialnnafsi allawwamati\n2. And I do call to witness\n The self-reproaching spirit:\n (Eschew Evil).\n3. Ayahsabu al-insanu allan najmaAAa AAithamahu\n3. Does man think that We\n Cannot assemble his bones?\n4. Bala qadireena AAala an nusawwiya bananahu\n4. Nay, We are able to put\n Together in perfect order\n The very tips of his fingers.\n5. Bal yureedu al-insanu liyafjura amamahu\n5. But man wishes to do\n Wrong (even) in the time\n In front of him.\n6. Yas-alu ayyana yawmu alqiyamati\n6. He questions: \"When\n Is the Day of Resurrection?\"\n7. At length, when\n The Sight is dazed,\n8. And the moon is\n Buried in darkness.\n9. WajumiAAa alshshamsu waalqamaru\n9. And the sun and moon\n Are joined together,\u2014\n10. Yaqoolu al-insanu yawma-ithin ayna almafarru\n10. That Day will Man say:\n \"Where is the refuge?\"\n11. By no means!\n No place of safety!\n12. Ila rabbika yawma-ithin almustaqarru\n12. Before thy Lord (alone),\n That Day will be\n The place of rest.\n13. Yunabbao al-insanu yawma-ithin bima qaddama waakhkhara\n13. That Day will Man\n Be told (all) that he\n Put forward, and all\n That he put back.\n14. Bali al-insanu AAala nafsihi baseeratun\n14. Nay, man will be\n Evidence against himself,\n15. Even though he were\n To put up his excuses.\n16. La tuharrik bihi lisanaka litaAAjala bihi\n16. Move not thy tongue\n Concerning the (Qur-\u0101n)\n To make haste therewith,\n17. Inna AAalayna jamAAahu waqur-anahu\n17. It is for Us to collect it\n And to promulgate it:\n18. Fa-itha qara/nahu faittabiAA qur-anahu\n18. But when We have\n Promulgated it, follow thou\n Its recital (as promulgated):\n19. Thumma inna AAalayna bayanahu\n19. Nay more, it is\n For us to explain it\n (And make it clear):\n20. Kalla bal tuhibboona alAAajilata\n20. Nay, (ye men!)\n But ye love\n The fleeting life,\n21. And leave alone\n The Hereafter.\n22. Wujoohun yawma-ithin nadiratun\n22. Some faces, that Day,\n Will beam (in brightness\n And beauty);\u2014\n23. Looking towards their Lord;\n24. Wawujoohun yawma-ithin basiratun\n24. And some faces, that Day,\n Will be sad and dismal,\n25. Tathunnu an yufAAala biha faqiratun\n25. In the thought that some\n Back-breaking calamity was about\n To be indicted on them;\n26. Kalla itha balaghati alttaraqiya\n26. Yea, when (the soul)\n Reaches to the collar-bone\n (In its exit),\n27. And there will be a cry,\n \"Who is a magician\n (To restore him)?\"\n28. And he will conclude\n That it was (the Time)\n Of Parting;\n29. Wailtaffati alssaqu bialssaqi\n29. And one leg will be\n Joined with another:\n30. Ila rabbika yawma-ithin almasaqu\n30.
