When the sun\n (With its spacious light)\n Is folded up;\n2. Wa-itha alnnujoomu inkadarat\n2. When the stars\n Fall, losing their lustre;\n3. When the mountains vanish\n (Like a mirage);\n4. Wa-itha alAAisharu AAuttilat\n4. When the she-camels,\n Ten months with young,\n Are left untended;\n5. Wa-itha alwuhooshu hushirat\n5. When the wild beasts\n Are herded together\n(In human habitations);\n6. When the oceans\n Boil over with a swell;\n7. Wa-itha alnnufoosu zuwwijat\n7. When the souls\n Are sorted out,\n (Being joined, like with like);\n8. Wa-itha almawoodatu su-ilat\n8. When the female (infant),\n Buried alive, is questioned\u2014\n9. For what crime\n She was killed;\n10. Wa-itha alssuhufu nushirat\n10. When the Scrolls\n Are laid open;\n11. When the World on High\n Is unveiled;\n12. Wa-itha aljaheemu suAAAAirat\n12. When the Blazing Fire\n Is kindled to fierce heat;\n13. And when the Garden\n Is brought near;\u2014\n14. AAalimat nafsun ma ahdarat\n14. (Then) shall each soul know\n What it has put forward.\n15. So verily I call\n To witness the Planets\u2014\n That recede,\n16. Go straight, or hide;\n17. And the Night\n As it dissipates;\n18. And the Dawn\n As it breathes away\n The darkness;\u2014\n19. Innahu laqawlu rasoolin kareemin\n19. Verily this is the word\n Of a most honourable Messenger,\n20. Thee quwwatin AAinda thee alAAarshi makeenin\n20. Endued with Power,\n With rank before\n The Lord of the Throne,\n21. With authority there,\n (And) faithful to his trust.\n22. Wama sahibukum bimajnoonin\n22. And (O people!)\n Your Companion is not\n One possessed;\n23. Walaqad raahu bialofuqi almubeeni\n23. And without doubt he saw him\n In the clear horizon.\n24. Wama huwa AAala alghaybi bidaneenin\n24. Neither doth he withhold\n Grudgingly a knowledge\n Of the Unseen.\n25. Wama huwa biqawli shaytanin rajeemin\n25. Nor is it the word\n Of an evil spirit accursed!\n26. When whither go ye?\n27. In huwa illa thikrun lilAAalameena\n27. Verily this is no less\n Than a Message\n To (all) the Worlds:\n28. Liman shaa minkum an yastaqeema\n28. (With profit) to whoever\n Among you wills\n To go straight:\n29. Wama tashaoona illa an yashaa Allahu rabbu alAAalameena\n29.
