When the Sky\n Is cleft asunder;\n2. Wa-itha alkawakibu intatharat\n2. When the Stars\n Are scattered;\n3. When the Oceans\n Are suffered to burst forth;\n4. Wa-itha alqubooru buAAthirat\n4. And when the Graves\n Are turned upside down;\u2014\n5. AAalimat nafsun ma qaddamat waakhkharat\n5. (Then) shall each soul know\n What it hath sent forward\n And (what it hath) kept back.\n6. Ya ayyuha al-insanu ma gharraka birabbika alkareemi\n6. O man! what has\n Seduced thee from\n Thy Lord Most Beneficent?\u2014\n7. Allathee khalaqaka fasawwaka faAAadalaka\n7. Him Who created thee.\n Fashioned thee in due proportion\n And gave thee a just bias;\n8. Fee ayyi sooratin ma shaa rakkabaka\n8. In whatever Form He wills,\n Does He put thee together.\n9. Kalla bal tukaththiboona bialddeeni\n9. Nay! but ye do\n Reject Right and Judgment!\n10. Wa-inna AAalaykum lahafitheena\n10. But verily over you\n (Are appointed angels)\n To protect you,\u2014\n11. Kind and honourable,\u2014\n Writing down (your deeds):\n12. YaAAlamoona ma tafAAaloona\n12. They know (and understand)\n All that ye do.\n13. Inna al-abrara lafee naAAeemin\n13. As for the Righteous,\n They will be in Bliss;\n14. Wa-inna alfujjara lafee jaheemin\n14. And the Wicked\u2014\n They will be in the Fire,\n15. Which they will enter\n On the Day of Judgment,\n16. Wama hum AAanha bigha-ibeena\n16. And they will not be\n Able to keep away therefrom.\n17. Wama adraka ma yawmu alddeeni\n17. And what will explain\n To thee what the Day\n Of Judgment is?\n18. Thumma ma adraka ma yawmu alddeeni\n18. Again, what will explain\n To thee what the Day\n Of Judgment is?\n19. Yawma la tamliku nafsun linafsin shay-an waal-amru yawma-ithin lillahi\n19.
