When the Sky is\n Rent asunder,\n2. Waathinat lirabbiha wahuqqat\n2. And hearkens to\n (The Command of) its Lord,\u2014\n And it must needs\n (Do so);\u2014\n3. And when the Earth\n Is flattened out,\n4. Waalqat ma feeha watakhallat\n4. And casts forth\n What is within it\n And becomes (clean) empty,\n5. Waathinat lirabbiha wahuqqat\n5. And hearkens to\n (The Command of) its Lord,\u2014\n And it must needs\n (Do so);\u2014(then will come\n Home the full Reality)\n6. Ya ayyuha al-insanu innaka kadihun ila rabbika kadhan famulaqeehi\n6. O thou man!\n Verily thou art ever\n Toiling on towards thy Lord\u2014\n Painfully toiling,\u2014but thou\n Shalt meet Him.\n7. Faama man ootiya kitabahu biyameenihi\n7. Then he who is given\n His Record in his\n Right hand,\n8. Fasawfa yuhasabu hisaban yaseeran\n8. Soon will his account\n Be taken by an easy reckoning,\n9. Wayanqalibu ila ahlihi masrooran\n9. And he will turn\n To his people, rejoicing!\n10. Waamma man ootiya kitabahu waraa thahrihi\n10. But he who is given\n His Record behind his back,\u2014\n11. Soon will he cry\n For Perdition,\n12. And he will enter\n A Blazing Fire.\n13. Innahu kana fee ahlihi masrooran\n13. Truly, did he go about\n Among his people, rejoicing!\n14. Innahu thanna an lan yahoora\n14. Truly, did he think\n That he would not\n Have to return (to Us)!\n15. Bala inna rabbahu kana bihi baseeran\n15. Nay, nay! for his Lord\n Was (ever) watchful of him!\n16. So I do call\n To witness the ruddy glow\n Of Sunset;\n17. The Night and its Homing;\n18. And the Moon\n In her Fulness:\n19. Latarkabunna tabaqan AAan tabaqin\n19. Ye shall surely travel\n From stage to stage\n20. What then is the matter\n With them, that they\n Believe not?\u2014\n21. Wa-itha quri-a AAalayhimu alqur-anu la yasjudoona\n21. And when the Qur-\u0101n\n Is read to them, they\n Fall not prostrate,\n22. Bali allatheena kafaroo yukaththiboona\n22. But on the contrary\n The Unbelievers reject (it).\n23. WaAllahu aAAlamu bima yooAAoona\n23. But God has full Knowledge\n Of what they secrete\n (In their breasts).\n24. Fabashshirhum biAAathabin aleemin\n24. So announce to them\n A Penalty Grievous,\n25. Illa allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati lahum ajrun ghayru mamnoonin\n25.
