My Creator! My Refuge in difficulties\nor ease. I seek only from You.\nMy Lord! If my sins are great and numerous,\nYou are Greater and Your forgiveness is more\ngreat and familiar.\nMy Lord! Even if You fulfill the desires of my\nheart I would still be shameful in the garden of\ndesires.\nMy Lord You are witnessing my indigence and\npoverty and You are listening to my whispering\nelegy.\nMy Lord do not decline my hopes and do not\nrender my heart useless because Your\ngenerosity is my only hope.\nMy Lord! If I am unsuccessful or driven out, then\nfrom whom can I hope and to whom can I plead?\nMy Lord! Save me from Your wrath, as I am\nprisoner (of my sins). Helpless, fearful and I\nhave bowed down before You.\nMy Lord! Show Your proofs and sympathise\nwith me, in my grave when I am in a terrible\nstate.\nMy Lord! My hopes are making me hopeless.\nMy Lord! If You forgive me then Your\nforgiveness will take me to salvation, as I have\nalready committed sins which can destroy me.\nMy Lord! For the sake of Muhammad the\nHashimite (peace be upon him and his progeny)\nand by the names of the doers of good who\nplead in Your presence.\nMy Lord! For the sake of Mustafa (s.a.w.a.) and\nthe son of his uncle and by their pure progeny,\nwho has lowered his neck in Your presence.\nMy Lord! Make me die on Your religion; I am a\nsuppliant, fearful, worshipper and an obedient\none in Your court.\nMy Lord and my Master! Do not make me\nunsuccessful from the great intercession of\nMuhammad (s.a.w.a.) because he will be the\nonly intercessor who can intercede till the time a\ncaller calls You.
