{"collection":"Islam","html_url":"https://unchartedknowledge.5gfusion.net/browse/isl/sal/sal026.htm","path":"isl/sal/sal026.htm","source_url":"https://sacred-texts.com/isl/sal/sal026.htm","text":"(25)\nAnother Elegy of Imam Ali (a.s.)\nIn the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful\nO the one Who hears the supplication!\nO the one Who has raised the heavens!\nO the one Who is ever living!\nO the one to bestow great bounties on the one\nwho is dependent and needy.\nO the knower of the unseen!\nO the Concealer of the unseen!\nO the forgiver of sins!\nO the averter of difficulties from the one who is\nsorrowful and unhappy!\nO the possessor of signs!\nO the one to make vegetation grow!\nO the one to gather the scattered ones!\nO the one to give life to the rotten bones!\nO the one Who from black and lightening clouds\nsends water and smoke to the earth.\nO the creator of skies together with the might,\nwhich is illuminated by the shining of stars.\nO the one Who opens the door to success!\nO the one Who day and night blows the air\nwhich brings the clouds!\nO the one Who by the distinguished qualities\ngathers the strength high and huge mountains\nare set in the hard earth.\nAnd O the leader of guidance and O the one to\ninspire the mighty!\nO the one Who sustains the creatures O the\none to enliven the inhabitants and the one to\ndispel the sorrows.\nAnd He in Whom I seek asylum and refuge,\nWhose order prevails and I don't have courage\nto run away from him, Who is great, most high\nand gentle.\nO the one to free the prisoners and O the one to\nmend the broken hearts.\nO the one Who makes the indigent,\nself-sufficient.\nO the one Who sustains the children and the\none Who cures the sick.\nO the one from Whom strength is sought, O the\none through Whom dishonour and disgrace,\ncalamities and misfortunes are averted. Protect\nme from sorrow and discomfort.\nProtect me from men and jinns who make me\nforget the Day of Judgment, which pains the\nheart, and which diverts the soul from the\nstoned Shaitan.\nAnd O the one Who sustains the creatures\nwhich comprises of men, animals and young\nones of birds they are also sustained and\nclothed.\nHe is the possessor of pure knowledge.\nO the owner of the destines whether obedient or\ndisobedient, no person is away from You\nwhether he is dead or alive.\nO the best of the compensators and the one to\ngive happiness on faith and the one to enforce\nYour laws, You are generous, wise.\nO He Who has fully covered us, ward off\ncalamities from us. Whose kingdom is vast and\nWho judges between good and evil deeds\nequally.\nO the one Who is aware of the actions.\nO He Who hears the words, O He Who appoints\nthe destiny from the protected and familiar\njustice.\nO one Who hears, Whose creation i s\nunparalleled, Whose throne is raised, Who is\nprotected from every tyrant and oppressor.\nO the One Who gives asked, and whatever He\ngave, gave nicely.\nWhen He took care it was extremely high, Who\nmade everything clean and pure by the great\nbounties.\nO the refuge of the weak, O the redness of the\ngrievances.\nO the subtle. You are great and high You are\ngenerous and merciful on us, aware and kind to\nus.\nO He Who judges between the people with\ntruth, and the judgment is enforced on\neverything in the universe, after which it is not\nbeneficial to save ourselves from death and\ndestruction.\nOur Lord! You see us and we cannot see You.\nThere is no lord other than You, so guide us\ntowards You and don't set Your chastisement\non us only by Your protected Grace.\nO the possessor of magnanimity. O the\npossessor of Honour.\nO the possessor of actions and the initiator.\nYour kingdom is High.\nO Lord, save me from Hell and from the great\nfear and from its life and death and from its\neternal sorrow, from its hot water and make me\na companion of Quran, a resident of Heaven,\nand husband of Houries.\nGrant me refuge in the Heavens, those bounties\nand pleasures in which there is no vulgarity, nor\nany sorrow, nor lamentation, neither sickness\nnor fatigue.\nThat pure abode where there wil l be no\nhardship, which will be a pleasure for the\nresidents, and good news for the inhabitants\nand a place of honour and repute. That high\nplace where beauty continues, which is\nilluminated by bounties, a place of honour for\nthe generous.\nThat place where the carpet is spread, excellent\ndresses, superb delicacies and cool refreshing\nwater.\nO the one Who is above my every praise. I\nplead You to bless Muhammad (s.a.w.a.) and\nthe progeny of Muhammad (s.a.w.a.) and\nwhatever I have sought from You, don't turn\ndown anything but with Your grace increase the\nO Lord You have power over everything.\nO He Who is more kind than anyone.\nBy Your mercy send blessings on our Prophet\nMuhammad (s.a.w.a.) and His progeny.","title":"The Alawite Book: Another Elegy of Imam Ali (a.s.)","type":"page"}
