Whatever is\n In the heavens and\n On earth, doth declare\n The Praises and Glory\n Of God: to Him belongs\n Dominion, and to Him belongs\n Praise: and He has power\n Over all things.\n2. It is He Who has\n Created you; and of you\n Are some that are\n Unbelievers, and some\n That are Believers:\n And God sees well\n All that ye do.\n3. He has created the heavens\n And the earth\n In just proportions,\n And has given you shape,\n And made your shapes\n Beautiful: and to Him\n Is the final Goal.\n4. He knows what is\n In the heavens\n And on earth;\n And He knows what\n Ye conceal and what\n Ye reveal: yea, God\n Knows well the (secrets)\n Of (all) hearts.\n5. Has not the story\n Reached you, of those\n Who rejected Faith aforetime?\n So they tasted the evil\n Result of their conduct;\n And they had\n A grievous Penalty.\n6. That was because there\n Came to them apostles\n With Clear Signs,\n But they said:\n \"Shall (mere) human beings\n Direct us?\" So they rejected\n (The Message) and turned away.\n But God can do without (them):\n And God is\n Free of all needs,\n Worthy of all praise.\n7. The Unbelievers think\n That they will not be\nRaised up (for Judgment).\n Say: \"Yea, by my Lord,\n Ye shall surely be\n Raised up: then shall ye\n Be told (the truth) of\n All that ye did.\n And that is easy for God.\"\n8. Believe, therefore, in God\n And His Apostle, and\n In the Light which We\n Have sent down. And God\n Is well acquainted\n With all that ye do.\n9. The Day that He assembles\n You (all) for a Day\n Of Assembly,\u2014that will be\n A day of mutual loss\n And gain (among you).\n And those who believe\n In God and work righteousness,\u2014\n He will remove from them\n Their ills, and He will admit\n Them to gardens beneath which\nRivers flow, to dwell therein\n For ever: that will be\n The Supreme Achievement.\n10. But those who reject Faith\n And treat Our Signs\n As falsehoods, they will be\n Companions of the Fire,\n To dwell therein for aye:\n And evil is that Goal.\n11. No kind of calamity\n Can occur, except\n By the leave of God:\n And if any one believes\n In God, (God) guides his\n Heart (aright): for God\n Knows all things.\n12. So obey God, and obey\n His Apostle: but if\n Ye turn back, the duty\n Of Our Apostle is but\n To proclaim (the Message)\n Clearly and openly.\n13. God! There is no god\n But He: and on God,\n Therefore, let the Believers\n Put their trust.\n14. O ye who believe!\n Truly, among your wives\nAnd your children are (some\n That are) enemies to\n Yourselves: so beware\n Of them! But if ye\n Forgive and overlook,\n And cover up (their faults),\n Verily God is\n Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.\n15. Your riches and your children\n May be but a trial:\n But in the Presence of God,\n Is the highest Reward.\n16. So fear God\n As much as ye can;\n Listen and obey;\n And spend in charity\n For the benefit of\n Your own souls.\n And those saved from\n The covetousness of their own\nSouls,\u2014they are the ones\n That achieve prosperity.\n17. If ye loan to God\n A beautiful loan, He\n Will double it to\n Your (credit), and He\n Will grant you Forgiveness:\n For God is most Ready\n To appreciate (service)\n Most Forbearing,\u2014\n18.
